studeboy
The illustrations of the 31 Pontiac I looked at don't have the cowl light by the front chrome strip? Edited April 4, 2020 by studeboy (see edit history)
Hans1
smaller body, wire wheels w/ large hub over brake drum, and large hub cap. Nash or Stude a guess
sagefinds
The 31 Pontiac would have had fender lights so that light looks like an owner-installed blob light to me. The rear quarter panel appears to have that breadloaf overhanging bead. The only cars I've ever seen that had that were a 30 Cadillac V-8,30-31 V-16 and 31 Pontiac. That's my bet but I'm not betting too much on it yet.
keiser31
I'm thinking 1931 Chevrolet....

sagefinds
That picture by Kaiser is too convincing to doubt. The cowl? light in the original picture is not standing up that I can tell, more like a blob of drywall mud laying there. I just call them like I see them.
Matt Harwood
Look at the tiny downwards dip in the body molding right under the windshield. Keiser is right again. It's foolish to bet against him. 1
sagefinds
Could it be my short response was misinterpreted? I'll re-phrase -Kaiser's photo proves beyond a shadow of any doubt that the car in question is anything but a 31 Chevy. Or,yes that car has to be a 31 Chevy, proven by Kaiser's picture. There are some things to bet against,Kaiser isn't one of them.

19tom40
keiser31 helped me identify Keiser 31 helped me identify a Continental, and the photo was so blurred, that I could not tell anything about the car. I cleaned up the photo and agree that it is the same car model as shown in keiser31's photo.
