Wish we had a better photo of this angle of a 1907 40HP Napier.

Has anyone ever rode in one? If so, how was the ride?

Probably rode just like a 1907 Chadwick. Your more likely to find out about the ride from a Cadillac guy circa 1914E127413D-819E-43D8-9EBA-D4D285024E4A.jpeg.a6f5c9cf22f1b08d85c6fdc5c7f4a296.jpeg62047E71-FE30-423F-8457-99AF104228EB.jpeg.0079264ee26994ded4bef33d14eaf10d.jpeg

A bit fuzzy but not too bad, wonder if this was an exported 1929 Essex phaeton as the popularity of open phaetons was dwindling fast in America.

Isn't that a prewar German licence plate?  Prefix IA- indicates Berlin, foreign cars were popular amongst well to do people in the late 20s there.

Indy 500 Weekend!  Pete dePaolo in the 1925 Duesenberg race winner.  check out the dual cams,  sidewinder centrifugal supercharger, and the air intake pipe just below the frame ! recently read dePaolo's book "Wall smacker" ,  those early race guys had unlimited risk tolerance!

If my memory serves me isn’t that the book where he described a Duesenberg milling as a hacksaw? Hard working guys. That’s what a real Duesenberg looks like.
