alsancle
Post war but a great picture. Does anybody else remember the story in AQ about the Packard "Request" and how it was supposed to be lost but was found in the 70s? Would it have been horrible if Packard had carried the grill treatment through the 40s and 50s? My grandfather worked in a junkyard for 45 years...............Five foot tall, small & quiet man, hard as nails.............and never a bad word. Pepe' had 56 grandchildren...........and every single one showed up for his funeral at age 99. Says quite a bit about hard work and a simple lifestyle. He didn't have a dime, but was wealthy beyond belief with family. Edited May 11, 2023 by edinmass (see edit history)
Walt G
Great race car photos, but keep in mind that Steve Moskowitz started a race car photo thread too , so maybe these should be shared there as well? After all he is the AACA CEO ( Certified Entertainment Organizer) 🙃

Walt G
Wow, a car with the Darrin Dip must be on the list to be a full classic ( not an 89% one) 😇

We'll be on our way in 45 minutes or so.... At the same time steam powered pumpers where still in use by the fire departments, and you had to hitch up 2 to 3 horse teams to pull the things, rarely was a home chimney lost.

The 1930 "Allez" has been restored & is for sale in Quebec for 590 Large. This 48-foot Commuter Yacht was the flagship of the Chris-Craft fleet with speeds up to 30 mph. Somebody in The Adirondacks, Saugatuck, or Lake Tahoe oughta buy it with some fun money!
