Dan O
Looks pretty good for the price. Original rubber mats. Bids start at $11.5k https://www.ebay.com/itm/1949-Buick-Super-Sedanet/352978514065?hash=item522f28b091:g:bRcAAOSws41dwu6O
SBRMD
Nice, but a lot of incorrect touches.
Buickborn
Car has been re-listed after closing with no bids. Considering that it needs at least a better paint job and lots of re-plating of painted-out brightwork, maybe the seller will lower the opening bid next time around. 95Cardinal
I really like the Sedanet bodies... Same starting bid this time around: https://www.ebay.com/itm/352986219686?ViewItem=&vxp=mtr&item=352986219686
buick man
I think this is nice for the price overall. Clean and tidy and well sorted even the trunk looks nice. As one pointed out regarding a hint of rust and if there is indeed rust one must remember we are talking about a 49 Buick and the gauge of the sheet metal is about a 1/4 inch thick so repairs if even needed are a simple deal. Wonder how much it would cost to replate the rear bumper anyone know exactly ? The front looks really good. And just for posterity a few photos : Edited March 5, 2020 by buick man (see edit history)
dibarlaw
I would figure plating the rear bumper, the painted front bumper guards /bracket and the BUICK EIGHT moustache above the grill at over $3,500.
Buickborn
Well, in that case, you'd almost have to re-plate the front bumper to match -- as well as re-plating the "clearance lights" (by which the seller apparently means the parking lights and streamers). And, while you're at it, might as well . . . Yikes!
Dan O
It's been relisted at $8950 - https://www.ebay.com/itm/352994405060?ViewItem=&vxp=mtr&item=352994405060 That should cover your plating, Larry! deac
Something is not right about this seller of this car. I was doing my homework by asking questions regarding this car and seller responded twice and then went south on me and stopped answering my questions. Moreover why were there no bids at 8,950.00? Has the market completely fallen out the bottom on this model? What's he hiding? scam? From what I know the car has a '49 Buick Super engine and the car was built in Flint Michigan. lancemb
I think there market has fallen out for most old cars until the Covid-19 scare subsides.
