A characteristic of Stearns automobiles was the white line around the radiator but I am not sure this is a Stearns.

 

Did Stearns use chain drive? From the few pics I have seen of early Stearns cars I can't tell for sure.

 

Note the front spring hangers - this car has the shackles that are usually at the back end on the front.

 

The supposedly 1906 Stearns in the photo here has unusual front spring hangers but they aren't very clear.

That Stearns is pretty close to a dead ringer except for the chain drive. According to the Complete Encyclopedia of Motorcars,Stearns did build some large cars with chain drive in those early days so I think this guy from NZ with a seemingly limitless supply of old car pictures has nailed it down. Good work.
