Packard? What year?

Please confirm this is a Packard in this picture.  What year is it?

I would guess about a 1925 Packard....

1st or 2nd series eight cylinder, 1923-1925. The clue is the symmetrical bezel in the headlight.

Interesting context, the Chauffeur in background, what appears to have been some sort of protective cloth or weather shield in front of rad. VIPs no doubt.

The man in front was my great aunt's husband. He was an engineer that had his own company that made ventilation fans for department stores before modern HVAC systems. Question: do the wings on the radiator cap indicate the model year?

I wonder if the cloth was to help warm it up quicker in cold weather?

The wings were an optional piece for the Motometer temperature gauge mounted atop of the radiator and not necessarily related to the exact year of the car.

great to see thee old pictures and know they got passed down the family.. Hopefully they will get passed down a few more generations as well with the history.

This most likely is a 1925/26 243 or 343 as it has the crowned one piece fenders and new two bar faced bumper but still has large fork mounted drum headlamps  and is an eight as the headlamps are the large ones and looks like a 143" w.b.
