D-a-n-i-e-l
Stubby ratcheting wrench, or a swivel and extention.
Barney Eaton
Since you only need to do it at about 100K......I jack up the car, put jack stands in place and pull the rear plugs from under the car. Might seem extreme but it also gives you a chance to inspect the underside every 100K
KDirk
Yeah, I do then from underneath, remove the o2 sensor and usually use a u-joint on the socket wrench.
nsrick
i had no problem using regular ratchet and socket from the top of car
KDirk
Thinking about it now, I did them from underneath as that's how I had to do them on my Cadillac. Not sure I even tried doing them from the top side on a Reatta, as I assumed they would be too difficult to get out that way. I know there was no way to do them from above on a 95 deville with a 4.9, and the cradle and engine bay inside dimensions on a Reatta are nearly the same as the Caddy. 2seater
I have found the '90 is easier than the earlier models as the large harness across the firewall area is not in that location, but in either case I have had no issues doing it from the top. Ronnie
I've only changed the plugs once. I disconnected the front of the dogbone, then used a pry bar wedged in the dogbone bracket on the engine to roll the engine forward to get more clearance in the rear. Don't remember having a problem.
bikemikey
My engine had lifting hooks on the back side. I took them off and it gave me a little more clearance .
RetroJohnny
I have noticed those rear sparks have some sort of heat sheild you have to remove first. they kinda just pop out. then I just got an extention ratchet and tried to find the right position to take those tricky guys out.
