I've seen the Spanish do it, and then the Germans. But the French??? Mon Dieu, what has happened to France? 😢 Hello, don't worry . There is ketchup and mayonaise but next to the plate, you can't see it in the photo. The sauce with the fries is a homemade sauce that is served with the fries. And for the fries, here there are several types of fries. In a French restaurant you will find 9 times out of 10 homemade fries, made by hand, they are not frozen fries . 7 hours ago, EmTee said: Ha - I was just going to ask about that! Sebastien needs to tell Tommy to serve the fries with ketchup! And plain hot dogs (except chili dogs or similar) get mustard. The sauce that is served with the fries is a homemade sauce, the ketchup, mayonaise and mustard are also on the table but you can't see it in the photos

drhach
I started using mayo for my fries when I gave up sugar (ketchup is loaded with sugar). It's actually pretty good. I've come to prefer it.
Machine Gun
I like mayo and I like fries, but I haven't been able to bring myself to try the combination. I first have to get over my fear of asking a diner waitress to bring mayo for my fries instead of ketchup 😰.

If one day I go to Miami, I will eat in this restaurant In France when you eat a hot dog, you don't pay attention to the translation of the English name. It's as if the name in America was " Chien Chaud " (in French), you don't immediately pay attention to the translation of the name. And I've always wondered where the name hot dog comes from ? A dog ?

A dog ? From Wikipedia: The term dog has been used as a synonym for sausage since the 1800s, possibly from accusations that sausage makers used dog meatin their sausages.[22] In Germany the consumption of dog meat was common in Saxony, Silesia, Anhalt, and Bavaria during the 19th and 20th centuries.[23][24][25] Hot dogs occasionally contained it.[26]

There are certain questions that should never be asked, and if asked should never be answered. Asking for the ingredients of hot dogs and Spam are among such questions. 1
