Buick Avista Concept, 2016 NAIAS

Sharp looking car but most concepts get watered down if they make it into production. The interior would most likely be modified but I really like the look of the car. It would be nice if the Riviera name was resurrected but I'm not convinced it will be. I think Buick has been re-inventing themselves over the past few years and a name linked to their past may not fit in with their marketing plan. Time will tell.

It is a good-looking car, though, other than the grille,

is it distinctively and recognizably a Buick?

The side profile is like that of many newer cars on the road.

I see "Ford Fusion" in the taper of the headlights,

in the forward-sitting grille, in the rear-quarter windows,

and in the side profile overall.

Sorry guys, but it's still the common "egg shaped" design that practically all car companies are marketing at the moment....why do you think the Dodge Challenger is doing so well? It's a departure from this over used aerodynamic concept and actually "looks right" in the process. Most of them have the V-6 option and are selling like hotcakes, so it's not all about the Hemi....

I agree, Darren.  The concept car looks nice, but those

same styling cues are on many cars these days.

The dogleg in the rear quarter window was used for years

by BMW until many other cars started adopting it.

That dogleg is today's fad:  look at today's cars and

you'll see how many have adopted that.

Thankfully, this concept is a 2-door car;  I hope it has generous

back seat room so one's passengers can enjoy the ride.

I wish it broke new ground in style, beauty, and grace.
