Guest wildcat465
A Buick A$$ Award? I thought I was providing a service here. I insist that I get one though. Should be presented in a parking lot with many cocktails involved.Maybe I should put up some more. Solidify my leading position in the newest award there is. Guest wildcat465
Ah, John you noticed long shadows and general lack of greenery. I took these October 28 last fall. Doubt much has changed since. With all the rain we have had, one needs to wear mudsuckers in there. Here's some more pictures. Yes, each one is a different car.

Guest wildcat465
Actually, I was wondering if that coffee mug in this picture might still be there :I wouldn't doubt it. We could make it a sub - event. "Find the coffee mug next to the 56 and we will fill it for you for free." Or something else really cool like that. How about some oldies for tonight. The cut off date to join in on the fun is July 28th. Get your registration filled out and sent in! For parts and do they sell complete cars? The pricing is a little high in my mind, not so much to some minds. You can negotiate at the counter. They do have projects for sale, does turn over though, cars coming in all the time. Here's a few from last fall:I think you and Rita should find a way up and join in the fun.Paul,Any Rivs? Just for you Jim, missing the sport wheel though, Ahem, someone already got it, cough, cough.More Rivieras.Oops, snuck a Regal in there, sorry.Hey Ship, got one for you too. Edited June 20, 2014 by wildcat465 Can't identify Buicks, apparently. (see edit history)
dship
Hey Ship, got one for you too.Wonder if it has a working tranny. As some of you now know, I lost the tranny on my 92 Riv 155 miles east of the ROA meet at the Marriott Colorado Springs. Got it towed to the hotel and then home in MA from there....$1500 towing and whatever additional $$ to fix tranny. Turned out will be an expensive ROA meet for me. So unfortunately, I will now not be able to attend the Heartland Regional as previously planned.

1965rivgs
Paul, Just picked up on this thread...great job! Man, you`re killin me with the pics from French Lake....reminds me of a place I found back in the early `80`s northwest of Grand Rapids called "Joe`s"...unreal, like a time warp. It appears many of the cars are not what I would expect from Minn car in terms of rust??? Are most of these cars from The Dakotas?? I couldnt attend the ROA meet this year but could combine the Mn regional with a couple of days at Rainy in August...thanks again for the great posts, Tom Mooney

jps
Is anybody bringing a model 1929 to the show, or another year from the 20's/30's? Would like to compare notes.
JohnD1956
I met two guys from the Caddy-Lasalle Club this weekend who live in the area around the meet. I asked about the French Lake yard. They said that the guy is fair on prices and is constantly buying inventory. According to them he recently acquired up to 80 more cars. They said he is buying from old farms where impromptu stashes collected over the years. I have no independent verification of this, and am just reporting it best I recall. But, alas, registrations just trickle in typically until just before the cutoff when the bulk of them finally come. Makes planning difficult, but every show seems to be this way. Lapham3
I generally hit FLAP a couple times/year. There are always new arrivals to see. Floyd's sons run the operation in recent years, but he's been around. The guys 'at the counter' often price a bit high. I hope it's good weather for everybody and the ground dries up some more. In past years they have done an August shutdown to do improvements.

Thriller
I have gobs of photos but teenagers limit access to the computer they are on. I will see if I can get a few up in coming days. I was was generally pleased with the Reatta as the cruise worked most of the time and she got 30 mpg on the highway. BTW, Marge has a DVD of photos from this meet and the Nationals. I imagine Pete ought to have one by now too.
