Driving a 1931 Buick Series 80 sedan

Recommended Posts

Years ago some cars/trucks had a jack shaft that could hold a pulley to drive a large flat belt ,, called HAMMER MILL which drove certain pieces of equipment.

Maybe you are to young to recall.

Thats all,

DAle in Indy

Say, A Hammermill is a piece of equipment used to grind corn or grains. Looky here for more.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammermill

Well thanks to all who answered my questions. Today we went back to try and negotiate a price. The car ran smooth and stopped very well. Unfortunately, something didn't sound right in the engine:(. So, we passed on the car.

Does anyone know of anyone who's wants to sell their 1931 to 1948 Buick?

Thanks again to everyone for all the help.

John,

Yes, you can prop open the shudders; but it is really cool to watch them work as the engine warms up....
