Dave Mellor NJ
From LowKat on HAMB. Looks like the Buick got the blame. See the 19c gas.
keiser31
Looks like the '41 Dodge and the '39 Plymouth got the worst end of the deal from the Buick.
R Walling
I would place that at about 1959. In 57 I was paying 18 cents for gas. I 'm still trying to get over paying $3.60 to fill the tank on my new (to me) 55 Chrysler.
Paul Dobbin
My guess would be mid 40's because I don't see any post war vehicles.Any California or Florida license plate collectors out there to identify the plates?(Only one car has front plate, which could make the location Florida instead of California)Oh yea, I blame the Goverment because the bus going the other way forced the Buick to the right and drove off. Dave Henderson
The cars look fairly fresh, not very old. Likely the scene is from the '40's. During WWII some states discontinued front license plates to conserve metal, a factor possibly dating it to those years.

padgett
Duval County (2). If that is 2w it could be late 40's (no ration stickers) or '50s Edited December 16, 2011 by padgett (see edit history)
Dave Henderson
Hmmm, Wonder if someone is still stuck in that '39 Plymouth.
Dave Mellor NJ
Hmmm, Wonder if someone is still stuck in that '39 Plymouth. They might have gone out a window. I also wonder why the Dodge's trunk is open, did they leave through there?
Dave Henderson
Dave, that brings to mind what the Arlington, Va. police did to some of their '40 & '41 Plymouth 2dr "cruisers"during WWII to create dual purpose vehicles. They removed the back seat and installed a stretcher accessible via, you guessed it, the trunk.

28 Chrysler
It looks like the Buick or the driver did not do very well, in the second photo the tow truck looks like it is ready to lift the front, not pull it to the left.
