misrerc9: when I read your post on ESSO I remembered buying this at the indy ad show on my way home from the 2011 Glidden at Cumberland MD. Took me a while to dig it out of storage but now I will frame and hang it. Thanks. I also have a 4 by 12 ft cloth one but haven’t found it yet -

Again thanks for all the replies. I continue to be amazed at the knowledge on this forum. I already have 15 inch Rally II's. Never heard of the Hone O Drive. Anyone have any experience? I think the viable options will begin with a rear end change. I have found a couple of LeMans rear ends here in Texas but haven't determined the ratio yet. I can do this in my own shop for not much money. If unsatisfactory I may add the Tremec or Richmond 4+1 route although the Tremec required major tunnel work. There are always trade offs. May be simpler to just drive my 64 Bonnie with the 421HO and automatic but it is not a convert. BTW where I grew up in Iowa these were always "GOATS" and proud of it. A classmate and I drove his new 64 from Iowa City to Houston for interviews and I have been in love with them ever since. Padgett, didn't they use the later T-5's in Mustangs and Camero"s and isn't there a NWC and WC class? -
Go for it, I was 73 when I did my floor and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Garage Journal and the web site provided excellent assistance.

I agree with Marty. Gas Tank ReNu has done 3 for me over the last 15 years. Approximately $500 each. Very happy with the result. Send it as is.

Sorry, the $4/sq ft was a commercial estimate, doing it myself was $0.50 per sq ft.

Sign into "garage journal" and do a search. I used Epoxy Cote on my garage floor 6 years ago and very satisfied with the result. Applying it myself cost $4/sq ft. You will have to diamond grind the floor prior to application. You can rent the machine at Home Depot. An alternate is to acid etch which I found unsatisfactory. Excellent instruction videos at Epoxy Cote web site. Epoxy Cote is a commercial petroleum based product as compared to water based products found at box stores.

Thanks for all the replies. Because of the 1st gear ratio I am afraid that a 2.56 to 3.06 ratio will require excessive clutch slippage off the line. Would work much better with an automatic in my opinion. Any thoughts on a Gear Vendor? -

I have the same experience as padgett. I start looking for a higher gear around 45 and at 60 i'm no longer having fun. Does anyone have any experience with a Gear Vendor in a muscle car? Back in the 90's I towed all over the country towing a Classics using a 30 ft Airstream, 454 with RV cam, Banks headers and Gear Vendor. I loved it -

I will try to post a photo. This is a nicely done (clone), 1500 miles since restoration and engine rebuild, Headers and 2.5" exhaust with H pipe, 068 cam. I found this one while looking for a real one and couldn't pass it up as I was looking for a driver with no interest in showing it. Scheduled for Vintage Air this winter -
66 GTO 389, 4 speed with 4.11 rear end ratio. Would like to turn this into a better touring car. Considering changing the rear end verses going to a Gear Vendor. Thoughts and recommendations appreciated. Looking for the best solution, not necessarily the cheapest. Thanks

Just returned from taking my Grandkids out to Brunch in my Mercedes with all the windows down here in Texas (95 right now) No complaints Lived in Iowa until 2000 and haven't been back so I vote for heat

Welcome to the forum. If our members don't know much about your car it is probably unusual. Now that you are in the family consider bringing it to a show or tour. Your car would be welcome in the HPOF class.

Past President Al Edmond got me interested in advertising. We would go to swap meets all over the Midwest along with the original Pate and Hershey. I would bring them home and stack them in the loft of the warehouse I rented from him. Ten years ago moved to Texas and I was finally able to organize and hang part of my collection. It was like Christmas all over again. Some of the signage I hadn’t seen since the early 80’s. -

My 41 series 63 will cruise effortlessly at 65 all day. The PO who was a friend of mine purchased the car with 17 K miles on it and toured regularly with the CCCA. He lived in Florida and later Atlanta and never owned a trailer. His last tour was in Arizona and he toured home via Canada. I purchased it at 50K and have added 8K more on tours although I trailer it to anything out of Texas. They are great pre- war tour cars in my opinion and are becoming very affordable. -
From 1990 to 1996 I towed with a 30 ft Airstream, 454 with Banks Modifications and Gear Vendor. Great tow vehicle and you never had to sleep in a bed that provided DNA evidence last week. 1996 to 2007 i switched to a 12 valve Dodge 3500 with five speed and a few mods. Still sitting in storage with 220K. A skying incident on the late 80's finally caught up to my left leg forcing a switch to Automatic. Currently using a 07 Chevy 3500 with Duramax/Allison at 105K. It's NOT a Cummins and has left me in "Limp Home mode" multiple time until I installed the FASS system. No problems the last 20K
