Depending on what you're going to do with the car (ie. a cosmetic vs. a full restoration) you might consider a cheap used set of tires to get the car home and move it during the restoration - and then buy a new set towards the end of the restoration. Bill McLaughlin 1929 McLaughlin Buick

The Fisher Body Parts Price List confirms that Job number 30122 is a 30-68, 5 Pass. Coupe. Your engine number will likely be stamped on the crankcase, passenger side just above the starter (see: <https://www.29buickphotos.com/Information/ID-Plates-Stickers-etc/i-2kn2MTd>). If 30 McL-Buick's are the same as 29, there will be no serial number on a tag on the frame behind the passenger front wheel but it will be on a GM of Canada 4" x 4" plate attached to the engine side of the firewall near the oil filter on the pass. side (see: <https://www.29buickphotos.com/Information/ID-Plates-Stickers-etc/i-GqSdmkz>). Often the tags were removed to allow the heater hoses to go through the firewall. If replacing the engine with a 29, make sure you check under manifold to see that the engine hasn't already been cracked. 29's were more prone to cracking than 30's Bill McLaughlin 1929 Silver Anniversary Buick Club

Patrick: If it's a 1929 Buick, as far as I know there are no factory plans of the wood available. Send me your email address and I'll send you a Welcome Package for the 1929 Silver Anniversary Buick Club where you can advertise for information on dimensions for the wood frame. Agree with Raydurr, it appears to be a 30 Standard. You should have a serial number plate on the right side frame behind the front wheel. Bill McLaughlin 1929 Silver Anniversary BUICK Newsletter

Bob: I've never found free wifi on the field at Hershey (I'm on the top of the Orange field next to the Green Field). There is paid wifi but it's something like US$10. a day - which is considerably more than Rogers CDN$5 roaming charge. Bill McL Toronto

Michael: Try Don Mayton (don.maytonscars at gmail.com). He made stainless steel ones for 29 wire wheels and they may fit 30's. Take an existing nut off an go to a hardware store and find out the thread size. Bill McLaughlin 1929 McLaughlin Buick Roadster -
How to trailer 1928 sedan with flat tires
Bill - 29 Buick replied to jvelde's topic in Buick - Pre War
Silly question, but have you tried inflating the tires? If they have gone down over 30 years, I'd venture to say that they would hold air for a 300 mile trip on a trailer. Bill McLaughlin -
Where is the Serial Number on a 1908 Buick Mc Laughlin?
Bill - 29 Buick replied to a topic in Buick - Pre War
PM me and I'll give you the email address of GM Canada's Vintage Vehicle Dept. They should know (or can find out) as they have a 1908 McLaughlin. Bill McLaughlin 1929 McLaughlin Buick Roadster Supporter of "All Together Parking by Era" -

What cars are they ? Side view with 2 men photo is believed to be a Studebaker second series GE Dictator probably built later in 1928. Can this be confirmed ? And what is the car on the boat ? The same man is sitting in the rear of the 2 men photo and also on the hood of the car on the boat. He is Dimitar Soboloff one of Bulgaria's greatest motorcycle and car racers in the 20's and 30's. He raced in a 1929 Buick roadster (not very successfully) from 1931 until 1936 when he replace it with 1936 BMW 319/1 made specially for him for racing. Thanks. Bill McLaughlin Toronto, Canada
