  1. Can someone tell me the torque for the front wheel bearings on a 1929 Buick Master, also the torque for the back bearings too Thanks Geoff Sorry meant to put, Do I just treat them as taper roller bearings for torque, take up till firm then back off about 20 degree
  2. Hi. I need a back axle bearing for a 1929 Buick Master, either the whole needle roller bearing or even just the outer cone Cheers Geoff
  3. Hi Guys, I've just fully reconditioned our 1929 Buick Master 6 motor and have it mounted on a pallet with exhaust, muffler etc and given it a half hour run. I was recommended by the reconditioner to re-torque the head down now that it is cooled, but my manual doesn't tell me what torque the ft/lb should be. Can anybody help, please. I'm also short of an outer cone for the back axle needle roller bearing. Does anyone know if I can buy them new? Thanks, Geoff.
  4. Hi John I've got 2 103 carbs spare and a 1930 standard motor complete with carb that is unused. I would like to wait till I get the 105 carb to make sure I don't need any parts. Maybe if you email me at g.m.buick@wnation.co.nz Cheers Geoff
  5. Thanks Guys I know where I can get a 105 from a very helpful enthusiast and I'll now sell the 103 for a standard model Cheers Geoff
  6. Hi. Can someone tell me what the numbers 1929 master motor carburetor are. I had a 10/103 carb supplied with the car I purchased but I've been told they belong to standard motor. Is this right Regards Geoff
  7. Hi Bill Thanks for that. I've rung Bob and he found the last one on the shelf so I've bought it and quite a few more parts. If you get to the national rally in Portland we'll enjoy meeting you Geoff Buick
  8. Thanks Leif, I've found 1 more shaft for a master but it was just as worn and there doesn't seem to be many spare master motors in NZ. I thought someone else might have got a new shaft made or know someone who does make them. If I could buy hollow shaft to start with it would say save lot of time.
  9. Hi , I'm reconditioning my 29 master motor for a 55x, and the rocker shaft has about 18 thou wear, so I need a new shaft. Does anyone know, can I buy new shaft to make a new one or is there something else that fits. Cheers Geoff
