  1. Replace it they are like $30. I would also grab a felpro gasket. They are much better than oem type.
  2. FSM can be found at reatta.net for free, just register to view the copywrited material. This may help with the seat switch. http://forums.aaca.org/f116/seat-switch-connector-375861.html
  3. Mine was off before the mustang wheels, and remained off with gm factory and my new aftermarket wheels.
  4. So here is a quick write up on this. It was a fairly quick job and I had extra time so I took a few pictures in case anyone else wants or needs to do this. I guess it can be used as a rear bearing or hub write up also. It is a pretty straight forward job. First here is the basic steps. 1) remove the rear wheel. 2) remove caliper by removing the two bolts that fasten the bracket in place 3) remove the 13mm bolts that hold the hub on. This is best done with a socket and extension. 4) align the shims and remove the unnecessary tabs (determined by which correction you need) 5) replace hub with shim behind and install parts in reverse order. Now on to some pictures. Shims before and after trimming Side view of shim this is the 1 degree shim (largest) Hub removed Old and new bolts. With switching to allen (hex socket) blots I can use any of the hub hole to install or remove the four hub bolts. Not hugely important but saves a little time. Hub and shim installed This is the biggest reason for switching to allen bolts. It is no much easier to access the caliper bracket bolts with out fighting with the parking brake cable. I will have the alignment check shortly to ensure the shims made the correct change. Hope this can help someone out if they ever have to do this job. Daniel
  5. Mine was the opposite. I had negative camber on both sides.
  6. Does anyone else have a rear camber issue? I have been a bout a degree off for years, ever sense I bought my Reatta. Well today I am going to be correcting this issue that every alignment shop has told be cannot be corrected. A bit ago I ran across the following part. http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MOOG-K6623 I will post the results after I finish.
  7. The diagrams can be found at reatta.net. Register to access the copyright materials and you can see them for free. If you put the work in this would not be too hard to do. I would suggest finding a good doner car and grabbing the full wiring and components. It would also be a good time to swap in a 3800 supercharged engine. Kits are available that make it close to a bolt in swap. This will insure all functions will work. If you don't want to do the motor swap most of the function can still work by piggybacking the ecm sensor wires to the stock ones.
  8. It require way too much modification to do economically. With the series one it is always cheaper and less time consuming to swap the whole motor, as phillip found out a long time ago.
  9. They are sealed. They are still a little pricey but much better than the $500-$800 I had been seeing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/111422523771?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  10. Sounds like a voltage regulator issue. I have had issues with no AC Delco alternators. Now days I only use oem or high performance alternators. Currently I run a 250 amp at 14.5 volts from DB electric. Nice thing it did not cost much over a generic replacement. I will usually rebuild my own alternators. , rockauto carries most of the oem parts to do our cars.
  11. Finally came across a decent priced LED head lamp replacement. Still have to adjust the angle but the beam pattern is close to a normal sealed beam, but the light color and intensity is much better and closer to newer cars. All in all much safer to drive.
  12. Just grab the system off a non abs riviera or, Eldorado 87-91 to include the rear lines.
  13. 6x9's only seem to produce better sound at low volume. A round speaker distorts at much higher volume than a oval speaker. If you are not running an amp go with the oval speakers if you are going for high volume high quality forget oval speakers. I may as well add the reasoning so I don't have to latter. The further out portion of an oval speaker always moves slower than the shorter portion. This means it is nearly impossible to over come the distortion at high volumes. Jus
  14. Are your fog lights on? That would cause the parking lights to be on.
  15. I thought there was a source for replacement floor mats. Any one remember where or who?
  16. why not grag an after market RKE or alarm. it would be an easier install and allow for more options to be used. I wired mine to roll the windows up/down, lock/unlock the doors, open the fuel door, and open the trunk. I still have a few other controls if I decide I want to use them, and the whole thing cost $125 with a supposed (have not checked) one mile range.
  17. They hold the carpet in the trunk down.
  18. If you are or have had issues with the door switch connector/plug then this part will work as a replacement. It is not listed to fit but it does perfectly. I did not even have to splice the wires. Just removed the wires that came with it, with the help of a small flat head, and replaced them with the stock wires.
  19. Sorry for the delay. This is the part I ordered from rockauto, ACC Part # 1216889ESSEXMB . I wanted to wait until I installed it. It seems to be pretty close to stock quality, the lining is thicker and the carpet is just a little finer. The center rear section were the carpet meats the rear storage area is a little loose. I am assuming that is because their pan extended past the point were the carpet curves up. All in all it is something most would not notice. I did order black so I cannot comment on the color matching. Also there was quite a lot of cutting the carpet down to size but it was nothing that a razor knife and patients could not take care of. I would purchase once again.
  20. I just ordered some from rockauto and it seems to be pretty good. I will check the manufacturer and let you know how the install goes this weekend.
  21. Three feet of extensions a swivel joint and the right size deep well socket.
  22. Fixed a small exhaust leak and finished the engine cover. Next week I should be on the road and really testing the install out.
  23. So I finally finished all the electronics and thought I would post a couple pics of the console and dash. The deck/fog light switch is a little bubbly but I will fix that when I redo the vinyl covering as it is a little off color. The vinyl wrap I found matches fairly well. I also have to order a bigger piece as the console piece grain is running the wrong way. Finally I threw in a picture of the trunk. Believe it or not there is still a lot of usable space.
