  1. I looked at this car a few years ago, ROUGH doesn't even begin to describe the condition it is in. It looks way better in the pictures then it does in person.
  2. Michael, I believe you just need to move the purple wire for the park lights to the unused terminal on the headlight switch. I would check with a test light to verify that there is power at the unused terminal when the headlights are on. I did mine some time ago and have not had any problems.
  3. Check the vacumn lines, ports/connections and also the switch at the brake pedal. Make sure you have good leak free connections and a vacumn source.
  4. I think Patrick asked " Do they work?" Every 65 owner knew exactly what he was refering to.
  5. Yep, it is a 65. I love the statement " needs some rust repair to the floors" when the car looks like something Fred Flintstone would drive. Still, if it is real it could be worth it.
  6. Dan, The top is a dealer add on as Ed mentioned. They are glued on and can be taken off with some care ( plan on painting the roof however) I have a friend who had a Toronado with the Roadster top that blew off the car going down the freeway ( nobody following-thank god ) She went back and picked it up, strapped it to the car and drove home. She had it glued back on to the car.
  7. Figures, I have the parts it needs but now just is not the time to make a purchase-even if it is a steal.
  8. Jack, Go to Service Manuals, Owner Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Service Bulletins - Helm Incorporated, they have a new one for $30.00.
  9. Joey, Your lights are working correctly. Parking lights did not stay on with the headlights until 1968. The car does not have 4 way flashers, these became standard in 1967. There was a dealer accessory four way flasher that mounted under the dash, they will show up on EBAY every once and awhile.
  10. If he had an open bar like they do at BJ, he might get someone to bite.
  11. Jim, O'Reilly lists one for $33.99 and you know a board member who can give you more information about it too.
  12. The extra brake/turnsignal lights were from 1974 to 1976. Toronados used something simular from 1971 to 1978.
  13. Wow, Things sure took off on this one. There was a trial run using the foreign members as test subjects to see how it works. Once everything is in place, a plan will be worked out for anyone who WANTS an electronic Bugle can recieve it that way ( Paper copies are not going away anytime soon ). There are still some things to work out before it is ready. Keep tuned.
  14. Not abandonded, Our resident computor whiz is working on a better way for members to read it online. I saw some samples and it is quite good ( much clearer ). Hopefully something will be available very soon.
  15. Brian, 75's have vertical grille bars, 76's have an eggcrate grille. It looks to be a '76 but I can not see the grille clearly enough to tell for sure.
  16. This is sad news, 50 is way too young. My condolences to Jim's family and friends.
  17. YouTube - ‪Junior Brown "Sugar Foot Rag"‬‏ For those who have a different taste in music, Junior is a great Gee-tar player and is a Riv owner to boot.
  18. Jayson, Try this website and see if he has what you need, Auto Electronics . I have been lucky with the 84/85 and not needed stereo "stuff". He has rebuilt my radio's for the 50's, 60's and 70's vehicles and I have been happy with the results and his speakers do sound much better than the factory originals.
  19. Dave, Is there anything with " Ol Ironsides" on it? That way you can say: Ship, ships ships.
  20. Marty, I have not seen Clarks interior panels, but I know Lou's were the correct color ( light grey ). A full spare tire cover is for a 63 when the tire was mounted on the floor ( it moved to the package shelf later in the model year ) it would be darn near impossible to get a full cover on your spare with it mounted in the correct position.
  21. T.F. Did you contact French Lake Auto Parts in Annandale,MN? They have several 66-67 Toros one 67 has(had?) buckets . I pulled the console a couple of years ago for a Chicago Toro owner . I will have to check the seat rails, but I think they are the same.
  22. T.F. The frames and hardware are the same between Riviera and Toronado, only the upholstry pattern changed. My Toro has buckets and so do the 66 IVS. Are you in the Twin City area? Perhaps we can get together and we can check out each others cars.
  23. John, Where is WI are you located?
  24. ED, I have quite a few I can bring in various scales. Let me know what you will need.
