  1. Someone did some free style recovering of the seats, the white piping is not factory correct. The emblem in the horn cap is not correct either ( should be a silver "R" on a black background ). I would also be concerned about the quarter windows being up when the top is down, they go down automaticly when the top is lowered, so they may be broken.
  2. 66 and 70 A pillars were not covered, 67-69 were covered by the vinyl top. The 66 used a stainless steel piece to edge the vinyl top, 70 used a plastic piece that matched the vinyl top.
  3. Rodney, They are interchangeable, watch for rusty bolts that could snap off. Otherwise it is pretty straight forward procedure.

The light monitor looks like it is from a 70's Eldorado convertible.

To all, when did Buick change the trunk material from tan to dark gray? I would have thought that by March the switch was done, but perhaps I am wrong.
  6. The wheel should be face down. While you are at it, make sure the valve stem is accessible so you can check the air pressure without having to remove the spare.
  7. On the Saddle interior car, the "radar" looking thing is the Guidematic- an automatic headlight dimmer. It is listed on the Vehicle purchase order you provided a picture of.
  8. Rally wheels were available on LeSabres in 1970. They along with the Estate Wagon used the cone cap with a tri shield in red, white and blue. Wildcats had the "cat" center and Rivieras had the "R". Rally wheels were not available on Electras.
  9. This is not his only Riv profile, check out the others on YouTube.
  10. That's my car in the movie. They filmed it in North Dakota because they wanted a bleak background. I have not seen the movie yet, but hearing from those who have seen it, I am not missing much.
  11. Oh yes, that car had a great sound. I helped Mr. Marr park it in his space.
  12. Congratulations to all, I had a great time talking with everyone there ( when I could ). Also a second congrats to Alan for also becoming a first time grandfather on Friday. That is possibly a slightly bigger deal then becoming president although I think his wife Joy would disagree.
  13. It will work fine, the multiplexer is meant to work with two speakers.
  14. Leather seats were not available in 1964, I'm not sure about the dark brown center console or armrest lower half, I'm pretty sure they should match the upholstery. Usually you see the green cars with green interiors, this one looks very nice.
  15. The text states the base for the air cleaner is missing, That will be fun to find. It does have the large A/C pulley for the 3:42 rear end, so maybe in the repaint the GS emblems were left off??? or someone found the Star Wars at a swap meet or something. This is the first pre 1969 Riviera I have seen with the shoulder belts, super rare. I would love to have this in my garage, but the time isn't right "sigh".
  16. Derek, Glad to hear you are okay, it is a good thing you weren't driving the 'Cat, the Skylark or the Reatta. Things would have been very different.
  17. A bumper jack is safe as long as it is secured in the trunk.
  18. The seller doesn't seem to know what chrome is ( " CHROME ACCESSORY WHEELS" ), they sure look like argent 12 spokes to me. Someone should also point out that the trunk release is on the drivers door and the lockout switch is in the glove box.
  19. I have seen the white 75, It looks much better in pictures then real life. The car needs a paint job and bumper fillers to justify the asking price ( a LOT of nicks and scratches ) plus a lot of detailing. The seller was asking 12K last fall and I told him the car would have to be exceptional to get that kind of money and even then it would have to be the right person to plunk down that kind of money on a 75. As Jason pointed out, the 74 doesn't have a Stage 1 grill badge, it is also missing the chrome air cleaner lid. I would have to see a W in the V.I.N. to call this a Stage 1 car. Also note the chrome plastic trim around the quarter windows is missing ( they're made of unobtainium ) and the dash board has stitching ( Homemade dash cover? ).
  20. I was at the hotel a little over a week ago, Breakfast is NOT included with your room. In case that sways the decision one way or another.
  21. No, Deluxe interiors were chrome. The door lock knobs would be the lighter blue to match the vinyl.
  22. Acme Diecast offers the 64 in Bronze Mist and Burgundy Mist if you are looking for color options.
  23. The Danbury Mint car is the same as the Highway 61 Riviera for a few years ago, just new color scheme.
