  1. Yes, I still have the Time Schedule. If you're referring to Sonora, California I can send it there. I'll send a PM with my email address for PayPal.
  2. 1962 Dodge Passenger Car Service Operation Time Schedule gives the factory estimated times for a wide variety of repair operations. The top sheet describes a binder you can buy to store the time schedule (the rest of the pages are all 3-hole punched so they can be put in a loose-leaf binder). Has some shelf wear but looks like it was never taken out of its factory wrapper. $30.00 postpaid in the lower 48 States. PayPal is fine. Harold

  4. I found that being in-person is more effective than calling on the phone. Dressing nicely (but not extravagantly) and being polite and well-groomed go a long way.
  5. I remember reading that the President of the Dodge Division had a company mechanic add solder to every ignition wiring connection under the hood. He wasn't taking any chances!
  6. Actron made good products. My first OBDII scanner was an Actron and it's still going strog.
  7. This is an Actron 9015 Code Scanner for Ford products 1981 and up, just out of clean dry storage in my garage. For EEC-IV and MCU systems. It blinks and beeps a code and then you look it up. Includes scanner, manuals, and packaging. Only used a few times. Worked fine when I last used it a number of years ago. Operates on 9V transistor battery (not included). $20.00 picked up in Freehold, NJ 07728. Shipping is extra. Let me know your zip code and I'll figure it out. If you have any questions please let me know.
  8. eBay tried to sneak in 'or best offer' on an auction listing I placed a couple of nights ago. Got in there and fixed that listing real fast!
  9. This may soound strange, but if the car was owned by a clergyman in a particular town, you might be able to track him down by speaking with local funeral directors.
  10. You might also want to try stationwagonforums.com It's an active forum and someone may have what you need.

  13. You might want to join the forum at www.p15-d24.com . It's a great resource for anyone with a Mopar flathead-powered car or truck. They also offer free 'wanted' ads. By the way, I believe the 46 Plymouth came with 16" wheels. There was a changeover to 15" wheels in late 1947.
  14. Never occurred to me that dealer-installed poeer windows would use blockoff trim. Thanks for pointing it out.
  15. ...and the other Jack Webb productions like Emergency! and Adam 12. Lots of good rolling stock in every episode. I understand that the red Dodge utiity truck used in Emergency! is on display at the Los Angeles Fire Museum. Every time I see an AMC Matador it brings back memories of seeing loads of them at surplus auctions. Government agencies really loved those cars!
  16. Had a couple of scary events but this one was the worst. In 1981, I bought a '52 Plymouth Cranbrook that ran but was sitting for about 10 years. The car was in Queens and I wanted to drive it home to Staten Island. I got on the Belt Parkway to go to the Verazzano Bridge and everything went well until I was heading up a long curved ramp onto the VZ bridge. I tried to stop and the brake pedal went to the floor. After Iots of downshifting and pedal pumping I managed to stop the car. I then inched my way across the bridge and crawled through Staten Island to my house. Only slid through one red light. I consider myself very fortunate that the trip didn't end in disaster.
  17. In the 1970's I knew a car hoarder who lived in Western New York. His method of patching a rusted-out floor was to first 'paint' the remaining metal with used motor oil. Then he'd apply a thin layer of roofing tar, press window screen on top of that, and then follow with more layers of tar and screen. Essentially the same process as building up layers of fiberglass but much less expensive. This process worked very well and was fairly long-lasting.
  18. John, Are there any numbers on the back of the knob? I'm asking because I have a pair of what I believe to be police car knob blockoffs that have the same design. Have wondered about their application for years.
  19. I've got three hardcover books I'd like to re-home. They are: My Forty Years With Ford by Charles E. Wong (1978) with dust jacket, former library book, somewhat worn with some writing and library stamps $12.00 Antique Automobiles by Anthony Bird (first edition, 1967) got this book new, minor shelf wear $14.00 Will take $30.00 for all three. Price includes Media Rate Shipping (please be patient!) to the lower 48 States. Harold
  20. That StarChief had a couple of very rare options...the 'Invisible Windshield' and the flip-flop 2-tone paint package.
  21. The biggest shipping issue I ever experienced came to a happy conclusion yesterday. I sold a tackle box on eBay to a buyer in Illinois. I mailed it (by Retail Ground since it was oversized for Priority Mail) on July 16th and the last racking entry was on July 22nd (in transit, arriving late). I filed a lost mail report with the Post Office and didin't make much headway. The buyer (who is very patient, luckily) wrote that the package was delivered yesterday, after nearly a month.
