  2. Probably a little too bizarre for the day but I like the roof line on the left image. The rear quarters not so much. I also like the looks of '62 Plymouth, having one back in '65. I do not like the looks of the '62 Dodge, except for the 880.

  6. It is probably not advertising a Hudson Rambler (1955-56) but is advertising Hudson AND Rambler, which Hudson dealers probably carried in '57 also. I could be wrong but I don't believe the '57 Rambler was a Nash. I don't think a dealer just selling Hudsons in '57 could have survived just selling Hudsons only.
  7. BJM, this search site for Craigslist seems to work fairly well: SearchTempest Online Classifieds Search - All the Classifieds. One Search.
  8. Thanks Joe! I thought of that same thing when I originally did this. Don't really know yet. It's held up for a couple of years now but it doesn't get much direct sun since it's in the interior. Plus, like most collector cars, spends much of its time garaged. I figure if it does deteriorate, I still have the file to print a new one.
  9. I completely redone (changed) the face of an old tach, costing about $2 plus my time by: 1) doing the artwork on the computer 2) printing on photo print paper 3) spraying with matte spray 4) gluing the print paper on the old face
  10. Here you go: Other Makes : President 2 door Other Makes : President 2 door | eBay
  11. How many '52 Chryslers do they have on the lot?
  12. As in sticky at the top of this forum: http://forums.aaca.org/f119/buyers-sellers-please-read-202656.html Please include the following information in the body of your post: Year Make Model Price Description Location (City, State, Country) Contact Information (Name, Email and Phone) EBAY URL if also listed on EBAY
  13. I don't think it was a threat. I think the posting was an advertisement to check out the Ebay listing. Here's another: Nailhead cut-a-way with dynaflow ? - THE H.A.M.B.
  14. You are so right. Don't forget about the loud noises (music?) while the car is racing on. They don't say anything about the car. Many times you don't even know what it is until they flash the logo at the end of the commercial. Sad.
  15. They had excellent marketing back then. And you're right, no one knows when the new-model introduction is......or cares!
  16. What was the first year for bucket seats in a Chrysler? I'm guessing possibly 1960 for the Chrysler 300F?
  17. The '66 VW was the last model year with the covered headlights.
  18. Doesn't '49-'50 and maybe '51-'52 Chevy station wagons have only one taillight, in the middle of the tailgate?
  19. In cases like this I usually will come up with a realistic figure of what it will cost me to restore it and I would have too much money in the car for the asking price, so I can't give him what he wants. This way I have not usually offended anyone.
  20. Does anybody know approximately how many exist of this model Checker? They must be extremely rare. I've never seen one and have been in the hobby for 35 years.
  21. My favorite was one that I saw once. The ad had apparently been running awhile. It read: "Since you people aren't buying, car is starting to rust". Another is: "Needs carb rebuild. Cheap fix. $30 at Autozone" Right. I got an idea. You fix it and I'll add $30 to the price of the car!
  22. What happened to the marketing strategy of the new car introductions? Now you don't even know (or care) when the new models are introduced!
  23. I'm surprised that fiberglass panels wouldn't disintegrate in a roll-over impact. In the photos it appears that they are steel but I would think the cost of making one set of steel body panels would be outrageous.
  24. A fully restored '60 Ford Fairlane 500 2-dr sedan with a 292/Auto wouldn't be worth $15,000.
