  1. Where is the fanfare from Chrysler on the 50th anniversary of the Barracuda? It was introduced about a week prior to the Mustang.
  2. One of my favorite cars of all time are the full-size '62 Pontiacs and I never owned one. Great looking cars.
  3. Have you seen the car? You can't put a value on a car by looking at pictures. A personal inspection is the only way.
  4. I can't see where a '78 Buick Century Aeroback body style would be at the top of GM's list of failures.
  5. The seats look to be all vinyl (or leather?) to me but I can't tell for sure.
  6. I guess I misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to the Dodge in the OP's original post with "Especially rare is the console extension between the REAR seats!" You are correct. Most do end at the back of the front seat. I beg your pardon.
  7. The console extension does not extend between the rear seats. The console ends at the seat. The image shows the aforementioned Charger and Chrysler Turbine plus the Chrysler 300G where the console does extend between the rear seat. Still a neat car and interior nonetheless.
  8. I actually don't see the reason for a new thread with each new photo since each thread is so similar. The only thing basically changing is the photo. Just add a new photo on the same thread.
  9. It's always been my understanding that the "paint scheme where the roof color extended to the trunk" was available at the beginning of the model year, but only on hardtops. Due to popularity, it was expanded to include sedans later in the model year.
  10. Both are 4-door sedans, not hardtops.
  11. No. It's a '56 Thunderbird. They had removable hardtops, so only the top is in question.
  12. I believe the OP is referring to current newer cars model names. "Twin H-Power" is not a model name. It is a dual-carburetor option for a Hudson.
  13. It's because now every new car has to be a sports car and this type of model naming sounds sporty.
  14. I always thought that GM should discontinue Chevy trucks and keep GMC. That being the case, all GM dealers could sell them.
  15. Excerpts from 1960 and 1961 Dodge dealer brochures:
  16. No. Bought in May of 1960 at Goodwin Bros. Dodge in Dayton, Ohio.
  17. No. My '60 Dodge had a generator. I got the car from my Dad, who bought it new.
  18. If he is he'll probably never see your post. The OP had 1 total post and that was about 4 years ago.
  19. I never dreamed that those cars would sell for that much money. For some of the cars, you could have bought one fully restored for half the price.
  20. Unless it is prone to scuffing, paint it. You will have much more different colors to choose from and, in my opinion, paint looks better.
  21. I actually think it is attractive, but I don't like the skirts, seats, steering wheel and the above-mentioned wheel covers. I think it is better than most would-be "designers" custom creations.
