  1. From the album: Member Galleries

The day I went to pick it up. I was amazed that the place got so empty so fast!
  2. From the album: Member Galleries

Crammed in the shed where I found it.

Where I spotted it...can you see it?
  4. A friend of mine just picked up this gearshift knob with a watch. Does anyone know if it is from a "brand name" auto company or if it is an aftermarket item and what year it may have been made? I imagine that if it was a car company item, it would have their logo or name on the face.
  5. Go to Walter P. Chrysler Museum and for about $45.00 you can get a copy of the original build sheet/order form with the original buyer's name and the correct details of how your car came from the factory. Beyond that buyer's name, there is probably very little that you can find out about owners after that except to back track from the guy you bought it from.
  6. Phil....GREAT comparison photos!! Those really show the different details.
  7. Here it is right-side up.
  8. You could ask and find out. I have no idea why anyone would actually want to see more photos of that thing.
  9. pmdolan....thanks for those photos....I LOVED driving those cars for Ash and Norma!!
  10. Usually on the outside of the frame rail just before the rear axle...driver's side near the rise in the frame. You may have to use a wire brush really well.
  11. Actually, I am an "old car" man. I like them all. I usually only purchase Chrysler products, but occasionally, an off brand makes it into my garage. So...if a car comes with "Korean chrome" does the restorer have to copy that to make it original looking for the judges?
  12. Are you telling us that there is an actual list to see what cars are turned in to the "cash for clunkers" program?
  13. Looks like the holes on the sides are for the fold-down landau bars. The holes on the top are probably for top rest bars. Yes, it is more upscale than a Model A with a golf bag door.
  14. Whoever you are, Rolf...Happy Birthday!
  15. I would take some old sheets and cut out a basic pattern for the sides, front, rear and top of the car. Then find a seamstress who could sew up a mock-up cover. Find some material that would be conducive to covering/protecting your car and have that seamstress make the cover for you.
  16. To me, it looks like a combination windshield stanchion support/cowl lamp bracket.
  17. Cathy...if you want some photos posted here, send to keiser31@charter.net
  18. That is the one that will work.
