  1. What year are you talking about? How big is your truck...3/4 ton, 1 ton...??? I have never seen a 1/2 ton flatbed on an original Dodge, but there could have been. If you want to do that conversion on a 1/2 ton or car chassis, here is an example of a Model A Ford 1/2 ton pickup/flatbed conversion that I used to own. A lot of bed or box manufacturers were independent and were dealership add ons.

    Hello Everyone

With a couple of photos and some serial numbers we can tell exactly what you have....or at least we think we can.
  3. Steve...I was not trying to give you a hard time. I remember when I went to look at a 1957 MG for sale and was REALLY surprised to find that it was an MGA. I really wanted and pictured an MGTD or MGTC in my mind. I did not know my MGs. I was very happy to drive the MGA home, though....for $450.00! Just educating, not ribbing.
  4. Nicely done. I was missing the "j" bolt and springs from my original '31 for years until a guy by the name of Dave Davis in Washington state sent me some.
  5. I have heard my wife's father talk about when they took a "clunker" off the road for the World War Two scrap drives, they broke a hole through the engine block to disable it.
  6. Nice find, by the way!!
  7. You have what looks to me to be a 1929 Reo Flying Cloud sport sedan. It was NOT a truck, but was "revised". The rear of the "cab" used to be the rear of the sedan....way in the rear, behind the fenders. That's what I think. It may be a year later or a year newer. A Reo guy will know. I do know that it's not a '32 and it's not a truck.
  8. I would say he is from around Detroit (Motor City), Michigan by his title info.
  9. Try this guy for the studs. He has some '35 Dodges. His name is Phil Staub. pstaub@plastifabsd.com John
  10. Looks to me like a trumpet or some other horn related mouthpiece. Better check for DNA!!
  11. I remember when I was a kid, the "Canadian Model T Assembly Team" did it in about 3 1/2 Minutes at the Greenfield Village Old Car Festival, but there was no body involved.
  12. That car is an MGTD...not MGA. Looks to be a 1949 to 1953. Here is the MGA style.
  13. Yep....it's a little "cartooney", but it does have some redeeming value. I like long hoods and fenders, but these are a little too long. It sure does look more like a classic roadster than the other car (fake Mercedes) in question looks like a real car. I would like to drive it to see how it handles.
  14. Yep....I have to agree. 1955 Chrysler.
  15. Sounds like a great car....got any photos??
  16. Whenever I describe Hershey, I tell them to "imagine a place that is 10 football fields long x 10 football fields wide full of old cars, parts and people".
  17. Other kids my age thought that I was pretty crazy, too for driving a 1931 Dodge coupe or a 1936 Dodge sedan for my every day car when I was 16 and 17 years old, but they always wanted to ride in them. They were all buying muscle cars. Sounds like your car may have come Dodge Blue and Black, originally if that is what is under the other layers.
  18. Yeah....I don't know about dryer sheets...I put some in the trunk of my '31. That's where the mouse turds landed...RIGHT in the middle of the dryer sheets!! Mice are becoming immune to those around here, I guess.
  19. Well, door #3 looks the most original (aside from the modern looking wheels).
  20. "Ahhh...the secret of the "clunker juice" is finally out."
