  1. My guess would be a foundry with limited connection, but do not know for sure
  2. I believe so Caddyshack. I found that auction a few months back when they had a 27 Lasalle Roadster which sold for 56k - decent for such a scarce car, but 18k for a T... Why cant I find suckers like that??
  3. I agree - looks like you would do better buying from the MTFCA or FordBarn - that car looks like it should not have made it into the 4500 - 6000 range.
  4. I agree with Craig, but am thinking a marine use - what does the lever do - shift or operate a cone-clutch?
  5. I think the 1 37 stamped on the mounting surface is a date code.
  6. There were slight differences in the shape to the top of the doors between the Big and Special Six cars the Big Six had a bulge on top but not outward whereas the Special Six had the bulge outward and not upward - a minor difference until you buy the wrong grab handle at Hershey and find out they were different too... I'm 99% sure the picture is of a 24 Special Six with the optional disc wheels.
  7. I'm pretty sure the side bolt is later production - Kero lamps were kept on non-starter cars right up to 1926. Posting this question on the MTFCA website might get you the exact answer.
  8. There is a website - fordwood.com which may help.
  9. You should also post this down under the Durant area - I believe the Sheridan was the first internally designed make of GM and eventually was part of the severance given to William Durant when he was let go - this would make it the predecessor to Durant.
  10. It looks like an early aftermarket Stop Lamp but maybe the original glass broke and some stained glass was put in it's place?
  11. This reminds me of the Ford Plant Security badges that hit Hershey in the mid 1990's - The first one I came across was priced $150 on a booth who also had a 31 Chevrolet radiator emblem for $75 at a time you could find them for around $20. Made me think if "B" is so overpriced, why not "A"? By the end of the day I'd counted over 20 of the badges and only one seller was selling them as new... Buyer Beware - do your homework first and thanks to people like Terry who is willing to call attention to a potentially serious fraud.
  12. The 25 6-72 Phaeton ended at $9100 not meeting reserve - was not watching the sedan as it was of less interst.
  13. I do not know about Overlands, but for Model T Ford cars the two bigest causes seem to be loose king or tie rod pins, and/or the front spring clips binding. I'd look there first on any car of this vintage. Good luck - the "wobbles" are scary to say the least...
  14. I do so love that car, but I'm just not up to the chalenge. I hope you find a happy new owner for it at Hershey.
  15. I tend to think you may get into the car for deeper money than looking for a reasonable replacement - there have been 2 decent 27-28 sedans sold in the 20-25k range recently - one by "Motoringicons" on this site - the other on e-bay. Edinmass (above) has what I think would be a fairly easy restoration for sale at a price a little less than the two older restorations mentioned. I'd hate to see any good early car made into something it is not, but it is yours to do what you will with but you could at least offer the rest of it to someone here - it may help them save another car from the same fate...
  16. My apologies for being rude this morning. YES there are a lot of spammers on here looking for a quick buck - Yes, your add contains more red-flags than a Russian invasion would have, and YES if you are a spammer e-mailing for a phone number really does not help prove otherwise. I fully believe that the rules need to be followed both for the sellers and buyers interests, and yes, I am looking for a new toy but am not willing to go that far away for it.
  17. Lets see - 1 post, no pictures, no location, no firm price stated, posted at 1:30am, and a G-Mail account... Good luck
  18. Nice looking car - WHERE is it located? Hate to get excited only to find out it's on the other coast...
  19. I'm surprised this has not seen some action David... This is the only employee badge I feel is in the same scarcity category as your Peerless - maybe nobody is collecting these anymore or it is too close to Hershey???
  20. Does not seem too high - I would not take much less if it were mine to sell. So, Dave - What is the hex nut size on those shock absorbers I sold you? Or did you forget my offer regarding the wrench I bought???
  21. I think that looks more like the early Model A pump from 1928 - the late T ones usually have a cast foot with a ford script on top of each side.
  22. The Buick ones look like they have a design in the rim - maybe another year, but could just as well be from any of a thousand assembled cars of the era...
