  1. Yes….. off the field. AJ drove it on. AJ- yes paid. I let you buy me a 200 dollar dinner……..so you are technically paid. It just happens to be negative pay! And then there was the time I stoped those idiots from messing up your car. Priceless! I should probably Start charging you for allowing you to hang around with me. We should start it this year. Obviously it’s a cash only situation.
  2. I am not looking forward to dealing with an identical issue on a similar car when I get home from Pebble......please keep posting about these units....its been 35 years since I had my hands on one.
  3. I see ............the guy who let you drive a Duesenberg onto the 18th green deserves to get his balls busted while supervising PAID employees who are pretending to be busy but actually accomplishing nothing............Notice my poor posture from carrying your weight all these years at Pebble. No need to thank me! PS- Politicking with the IMPORTANT people is part of a collections managers job. I have been doing ok so far........hell....I didn't even charge you for a ride in that red Duesenberg.........the one that WON Best of Show at Pebble..........bet I can sell your seat in the car this year for a few bucks.......😎 The only thing your photo proves is I need to drop 20 pounds.......🤯
  4. Two exceptionally rare photos you thought you would NEVER see in your lifetime. First is AJ doing actual work! Phill is in the background. Notice the color coordinated red collection cap on the trunk rack. Photo #2 is driving J357 on the 18th green........hard to explain what this is like to true car guys......kind of like all your buddies seeing you out on a date with a super model. Last photo......Phil Hill's BOS winning Pierce bought new by his aunt. The BEST part of pebble is the truck parking lot.....it's free.......don't tell anybody. PS- Yes...the parking lot is dirt.........and the car stays a mess......it's a pain in the ass that one would never believe unless you see it with your own eyes.
  5. on this particular car, the rebody means nothing……it’s a numbers matching correct car. Great eyeball. It should bring better than the estimate if Pebble prices hold their trend.
  6. Photo of a 1934 Series 50 Buick from the sales catalog.
  7. Truck shows are always fun........the firetruck shows are insanely fun. The SPAAMFAA firetruck meet is a must do bucket list item for any person who likes cars.
  8. Ross…..email me the photos, and I will post them. Or send them by text. Ed
  9. I also keep one to toss in my trailer in the event of a fire while going down the road. Been there, done that.
  10. I carry a fairly small Halon extinguisher in all of our cars. I also carry two of the element large units as backups. 99% of the time you can put the fire out with a short blast from the extinguisher. And in the rare cases do you need more fire fighting ability the element units are great. They store very easy. Usually put them underneath my dash with some tape so they are easy to reach.
  11. Check spark plug gap for being too large. Also check the rotor and cap for clearance issues. Be sure rotor is correct. Also, be sure to have solid core copper wires for the secondary ignition.(Plug and coil and coil wires.)
  12. Don’t use corn head grease. OO is fine, and is easy to find.
  13. They built President models for a long time. How about a year? After fifty years I have never heard the term slipper bearing. How about details and a few photos. It’s a simple engine……..not too much mystery to it.
  14. With 12 known examples…….and a car with all new wood…….the sophisticated collectors who actually curate their collection will pass on such vehicles. It’s a well done car, as I have competed against it.
  15. Is the disk in backwards? Part of rebuilding any clutch is replacing all the springs. Using 100 year old springs over isn’t rebuilding a clutch.
  16. George……I agree. Sure looks small in the photos. Their numbers seem low, even for a cut down car.
  17. Normally you could send him a PM ……..private message, but with a new account your not allowed to make contact. Someone needs to post a link from here to him using the PM…….I do not know how to do it. He is usually here posting once or twice a month.
  18. It looks small to my eye. And when you consider half a floor sweepings big car sold for 700 ten years ago…….the low number equates to a small engine.
