    Horch

Very slick. Beats the hell out of any 500/540 K. šŸ‘
  2. Lee and Ann Davenport were good friends, and I toured with them many times. He was truly an remarkable man and an American hero.
  3. I just bought one on Amazon for my 34. Direct fit. 40 bucks. Works great. Iā€™m out west till Monday. Remind me then, and I will post a link.
  4. Itā€™s been a while since I had mine. Post a few photos please. Itā€™s a fairly rare car, and most people familiar with them are not too active in on line forums.
  5. Why bother. Put it on the Sun distributor tester. Itā€™s more accurate and you can test it while itā€™s operating. You can also check the centrifugal Advance at the same time.
  6. Smaller than you would think. I dropped mine on the shop floor and they went 20 feet. Fortunately the floor was clean, and I found them easily. I would guess 5mm.
  7. I was in Pennsylvania last week, and would have been happy to stop bye. Sorry! šŸ‘
  8. Itā€™s definitely not Pierce Arrow. From the little I can see, nothing looks Pierce.
  9. Gear sets will run you the same money today. They are fairly long legged already. How fast are you trying to go?
  10. Okā€¦ā€¦so now this carā€¦..take a lookā€¦ā€¦ This is was one I was chasing that was lost to the world. Itā€™s now on EBay. I went to try and pry it out of its 60 years of slumberā€¦ā€¦ā€¦..close, but no cigar. This is what makes me hunt carsā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.I was first through the door. Interestingly this is not the best car I was hunting while out at Pebble this year. The big scores are still out there, you just need to kick over the right rocks. And no, I canā€™t identify the other car yetā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.
  11. I think I drove it back when Charlie bought itā€¦ā€¦ā€¦somehow I ended up hauling it home from the auction. Another long story! The car had terrible brakes when I drove it if itā€™s the same carā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.too many shows, meets, and events to all keep straight anymore.
  12. Here it is todayā€¦ā€¦..
  13. The car is happy and doing well in California unless Iā€™m mistaken.
  14. Finished getting new rubber on the car today. With rock hard tires it has proved to be more work than we wanted. We manage to do two every other day. The blood, sweat, and swearing are exhausting. Each rim makes me feel like I did five rounds in the boxing ring with Tyson. The rubber under the side mount covers was even worse than what was on the ground. I would have bet twenty bucks that was impossible. Off on tour for two weeks, so Buick updates will cease for a while. Also, there was a 1910 White OO Steam Car for sale on Bring a Trailer. We made our best attempt at it, and came in just shortā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.but a steam car isnā€™t too far off in the future if we can find the right car. Weather up north is getting cold, and the leaves are changing. The front yard has some decent color. Another year gone by in 60 seconds.
  15. It will still work, until it fails. But even now, you have a vacuum leak. Why bother?
  16. Barnā€¦ā€¦..horses were living with it.
  17. If itā€™s not a torque tube car just install a gear vendors OD/splitter. Fast and easy.
  18. Your missing the really big questionā€¦ā€¦ā€¦did they make a 6 volt positive ground unit available? If not, I would sue for age discrimination.
  19. Letā€™s seeā€¦ā€¦.who is the last known human being to pull a Duesenberg out of a barn? šŸ¤” Seems to me I know who it isā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦? šŸ˜
  20. We usually use whatever is around the shop. We have a small South Bend so we just make what we need.
  21. As much as I hate to say it..........we make them up for every job.........
