Bought my first 65 Riviera Feburary 1965 , white with blue interior ( std ) It was a 401 that I added the 425 cam , dual 4 's and reworked the carbs , distributer , switch patch . I was 23 years old looking at a 65 GS Skylark with a 4 spd . The Riviera had beautiful lines and was not much slower then the GS Skylark. I do not own a 65 at present , but have in the past own 5 65 Riv GS's and other 65 Rives . Always loved the sound of the dual fours under full accelleration ! Love your Riv Alex !!!!!!!!!!! Welcome ! 55 Buick always look great in black ! I had buick wire wheels on my first 56 Buick Special and they were hard to keep clean. You won't be driving yours everyday like I did but wires really like good when shiny . Picture was 1961 !!! Bill

Congrats 1st !!! The trans rear boot will most likely seep . I would be more concerned about the hydro electric system not working properly . If an old Buick starts , your on your way !!!! Keep us posted Bill

Mine tag is not as detailed as yours . I took a 55 Maryland plate DC 5560 and changed it to BC 5568 , "B"uick "C"entury 19"55" model "68 Too much time to waste in my old age LOL . Bill

Lamar , Got the molded carpet from Stockinteriors.com and one extra yard . They would not sell me a second yard because of covid 19 restriction ???????????????????????????????? This past winter , Put new carpet , front ,rear , cargo area , 3rd seat area, tailgate , 4 sill plates , installed the 3rd seat out of a 70 Estate wagon with the standard pattern .
