  1. My '22 Light Six Touring had just the Aluminum Plugs. I searched for a long time for the right rests. I finally settled for what I could find, and modified them to fit properly. From what I could find out, there are a bunch that are close. If you like, I can post some pics of mine. I think I may have some left, that I didn't use. George Rohrbach
  2. Don, I enjoyed your company and help at the National this year. Looks like you have another neat, fun project going! I have started to work on my rims, so the damn car left rear wheel doesn't wobble so much. I have that rim off, and 3 others that I am trying to straighten. I am sure that my car does not have the right wheels, as supposed to be like 23" and mine are 21". But for the life of me, I can not figure out what mine are off of. There are some Standard Sixes ( the continuation of the Light Six), but they have 12 bolts, and mine only has 8! In any case, could you look in your rim book, to see if there are any that are close to 21" that look like these rims? Just in case I can not straighten mine out? And send me a copy of that page? Rims to fit too, please. Thanks George Rohrbach
  3. You did not say what body style and why you wanted to know!
  4. 1917 ED Series 18 Serial Numbers are 207,501 - 233,495 Motor Numbers are 9,580 to 35,966
  5. A couple of rims on my 20's Studebaker have been stretched oblong and sideways, so I have a wobble going down the road. I think that back in the 1920's, that there was a machine that you could use to make them true. Does anyone know of such a machine? And who has one that could straighten the rims? Or who has had this kind of rim successfully fixed at a commercial shop? Or who has managed to do it themselves, and just how did you do it? I am hoping that someone has this information, before I try to devise, fabricate or invent a way to make them again round! I am sure that the rims were bent, by using the 3 leg rim tool incorrectly. Help? I have posted this on a couple of other forums.

  7. So far I have not been able to find my box of other handles. Give me a couple of more days, and I will email you.
  8. I have a few handles that you can choose from. Price is dependent on condition. From not so good to restored (but not perfect). By the way, the brass should have nickel plating. Although I have seen a few that were perhaps German silver, instead of brass to start. Most of them that you see, have all the nickel worn off. The dark color is Bakelite, the first synthetic plastic. Sort of a blackish brown.
  9. I will be at CNN18-20. Just a couple of spaces from the Antique Studebaker Tent!
  10. The hood that I have: Size of side panel is 32"x19". Only 4 louvers per side. Front bottom width: a little bigger than 21". Front height to center of hood: about 24". Rear bottom width: about 34". The 4 louvers are at the back of the hood. I can deliver to Ohio SDC National meet, or Hershey. George Rohrbach
  11. Don, Could you provide measurements and a pic. I have a hood that I am not sure what it goes to.
  12. Henry, Thanks. It is a car that you don't see very often. The headlights are called cathedral, the first year that Studebaker had integrated ones, instead of standalone pods. They were not even on all 1938 Studebakers, only State Commander and President models. They were not on the less expensive, regular Commander.
