  1. In the process of building a big order for my '49 RM, been on the phone with Bob and Matt at Bob's multiple times. Very helpful.
  2. Thanks Pete, know about those. There's also a weird rectangular one with a countersunk screw, and some wedge-like ones noted on Bob's and also on Steele, just don't know where they go. The first one is described as hood to shroud. But there's no fan shroud; what shroud do they mean?
  3. Only under-hood shot I have of my car, not very helpful: (Also, never had intact heating ductwork, good pictures of those would also be helpful. And anybody know the right diameters? tried to measure, seems like 3 3/4 and 4 1/4, but sort of hard to do!
  4. Anybody have some good pictures of what the various under-hood rubber bumpers should be/look like? Ordering from Bob's/Steele, confronted with many choices, only some of which I understand..
  5. Hey, look what I found! This is my car as original. It's a Flint car, about 1/3 of the way through the run. Two - piece it is I guess!
  6. Nice cars guys! Bob, the car above you from gdmn852 is a Super convert. Anybody out there with a cowl pic of a Super or Roadmaster Sedanet?
  7. Good morning everyone, Bob's shows two different seals, a one-piece and a two piece. My old ossified one got removed and discarded and nobody remembers which it was. Any insights from the learned? Both are specified for "most 50 and 70 series" but I can't definitively find out which is correct. Thanks in advance, Steve.
  8. The Sportwagon frame is indeed boxed.
  9. Mine is a Wildcat 355, factory A/C; it's got an apparently original 3.08 posi. But it's obviously an option, can't speak to the one-legger that might pertain. Ratios are listed in the service manual.
  10. I stood and gaped at this car , in the original mint, lengthily and repeatedly at the Chicago Auto Show in McCormick Place. The '91-'96 PA was a reasonable production interpretation. But that Essence was a beauty!
  11. Thanks for looking Roberta. I know such a diagram exists because someone posted it up to Buickcenturion.com. Just don't know which manual has it. I should have printed it, didn't anticipate the cancellation of that forum.
  12. Hi Everybody, Hoping someone out there has a '74 full size Buick shop manual with an exploded view of the dash showing the routing/mounting location of the long cable/joystick for a passenger side remote mirror. Going to be finally mounting one; someone over at Buickcenturion.com posted it up for me a long time ago, but the forums over there have been deleted so looking for it again. Thanks in advance, Steve in Mpls.
  13. Let us know how you do Pete. I don't think any of the opinions here are in sincerely meant. There is currently a beautiful '72 Centurion convert with about 81k for sale in Wisconsin for a long time unsold...recently marked down to $8,500, and still not selling. 455, nicer interior, half the miles. Also at least three 71-76 Grand Ville / Bonneville converts and a couple Delta 88's wanting for buyers in this price range, in similar condition, in the Minneapolis Craigslist.
  14. Gosh I like that, especially without the vinyl top.
  15. Also, the two strips of side stainless are a feature of the Special only in '47, Super and Roadmaster = one.
  16. Basically 1980's Estate Wagons.
