1. Rod Warrior: Sorry, forgot to respond to you. Found the fuel tank at the Buick Bonery in California. Was almost as hard to find a shipper for a used gas tank as it was to find the tank, which, as you may already know, is specific to the Sportwagon and Vista Cruiser only, and not shared with the other a-body station wagons or the el camino.
 2. This is turning into an interesting thread, what with all the Sportwagon-ers coming out of the woodwork.
Don55: The interior has it's good points and those that need attention. The dash is excellent, complete w/ factory electric clock, altho the dash pad does have cracks and needs to be recovered. The driver's seat and front door panels need to be reupholstered, due to torn vinyl, but are otherwise ok. The second and third seats are good, as are the rear door panels. The headliner is sagging in places. Carpet looks old but is ok throughout. It does have the carpeted rear load floor and tailgate. Driveability is fair, needs tuning, but I haven't done so, as found another restored Sportwagon shortly after I bought this one. Trans slips occasionally in third gear at speed. Power steering and power brakes are functioning fine. I do have some pictures for you, but unfortunately no scanner on my computer, so will have to mail usps if you are interested.
Scott: I'm in MN too; where is that JY with the eight Buick wagons?
 3. This wagon, along with all of it's hard-to-find, wagon-specialized parts, is still available. Would rather not part, car's too good. Not many of these cool beasts left, don't want to kill one. Tow your GS trailer queen to it's "best in show" award with the coolest of tow vehicles!
 4. Arthr: Great to hear someone else out there working with this cool model. I have two '65 Sportwagons, one is currently for sale on this forum. It has all the parts you need (and lots of others) except the hood ornament. It is itself a solid restorable complete car. Interested? E-mail me!
Steve Robin
SBRMD@AOL.COM
 5. Still here, you '65 guys and wagon lovers.
 6. Hey, all you'65 guys, this car's too nice to part out, somebody give it a good home! Bargain priced fun!
 7. Custom 3-seat, absolutely all bells and whistles from '65, even posi, hitch and dual exhaust, except tilt. Dark blue over light blue, South Carolina car now in MN, solid and complete, running, just begging for restoration. New gas tank. Was planning on doing, but found another already restored, this one now surplus. Have $2,500.00 into it, would like to simply recoup. Make a GS tow vehicle!
Steve Robin: SBRMD@AOL.COM; 763-545-8646
 8. Is this mat appropriate for a-bodies? Would like it for my '65 Sportwagon if it fits. Please return e-mail at SBRMD@AOL.COM
Thanks
Steve.
 9. Sean: Thanks for the tips. Are you interested in selling those stock manifolds? How much? In good shape?
 10. Can you please describe the car? Hardtop or sedan? where's the rust exactly? Color combo? Type of interior?
Thanks!
Steve.
 11. Sean: Impressive motor! I have a 1965 300-4v (stock, 114k, unopened) in my Sportwagon, which has recently developed a crack in the driver's side exhaust manifold. What would you recommend for a replacement? It's a strong motor, altho stock, and since I have to fix, wondering about different options, headers, etc.
Thanks in advance for input!
Steve.
 12. Was planning on retrofitting a 3800/4L60E drivetrain into my '65 Sportwagon, but after driving it around alot with the original, well-running 300-4V w/ ST300, I must admit, I think the original drivetrain is more than sufficient: peppy, fun to drive and economical. ST300 has plenty of kick-down punch. It has 113k, never opened, and runs great. Just my two cents
Steve
Mpls, MN
