  1. I'd put my money on the cluster, but don't overlook a blown fuse. The '90-93 IPC's (include the Riviera) are notorious for going bad.
  2. CPS's are notorious (at least on the 3800) for getting intermittent. Don't forget to use a folded matchbook thickness paper shim for alignment.
  3. Check the ISO-IGN fuse (#1) in the fuse panel. Right hand side of the consol. It feeds the fuel sender.
  4. First photo looks like a pimp-mobile.
  5. When checking for parasitic drains, make sure it's AFTER the RAP times out. About 15 minutes.
  6. No pulley needs to be removed from a Northstar to remove the pump, BUT, a special tool IS required to remove the pump. Pumps rarely go bad on the Northstar. The idler pulley can be problematic, though.
  7. Nope, no 88-89 wood panels left, just one 90-92 IPC surround (bezel).
  8. Mounted on the cam gear. Access thru the cam sensor hole. The replacement magnet is glued in place.
  9. Code 41 is ALMOST always the loss of the cam magnet. I may have of the faux wood trim from the Riviera; let me look.
  10. Seem to recall that our years of the Reatta had issues with bad CPS's. Could explain your conditions. Won't set a code.
  11. Are they both the same, or side specific?
  12. I find this hard to believe.! The camshaft pos. sensor and code 41 have nothing to do with the TPS. Code 41 is ALMOST AWAYS a bad (missing) magnet.
  13. I've had issues years ago with the connector contacts oxidizing. Exercising the connector with some contact cleaner got the HVAC panel back in service. Easy fix.
  14. Yup. Some are tough, but you can't hurt anything by giving it a good yank.
  15. White smoke can be either coolant or ATF. Padgett you should know this...
  16. Interesting the photo shows no pump.
  17. What 's "a whole new system" mean? There's only one belt. When the amber light comes on, it usually means the system's low on Freon.
  18. If they are quick connect (which I think they are), all you need is a pair of long nosed pliers.
  19. Can't remember if the '90 (assuming you have a '90) have plastic fuel lines or steel. Lawn rats love these plastic lines (along with wiring harnesses). Rust takes out the steel ones. Either way, splice kits are available for the plastic and a fabiricated splice of steel for the steel line is the repair of choice.
  20. Stuck in the grommet? A little WD-40 and a twist. Be aware the grommet may be kinda 'crisp'. Don't let pieces fall into the plenum. I'd have a spare grommet handy, just in case.
  21. Does the '91 have a transmission vacuum modulator?
  22. The resistor appears to be INSIDE the knock sensor. Short to ground should be easy to verify...just turn off the ignition.
