  1. You can usually buy them at most of the chain auto parts stores or I have good used ones from my Reatta parts cars. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  2. It sort of bugs me when I see people paying way too much for reconditioned electronic parts. Granted it takes labor and time to diagnose an electronic problem and repair it but most of the time a person can buy a used item for a lot less. Rebuilt, reconditioned, refurbished means, in the case of an electronic part, that the part was not working, was sent to a repair facility, the one bad part was fixed, the unit cleaned and sent back out. What you are buying when you buy a rebuilt electronic part is a USED part. This in not the case on mechanical parts where all the worn moving parts and bearings are replaced and then it is like new. I would aways suggest when looking for an electronic part to first try salvage yards or people parting out particular cars and most of the time you will get just as good of a part at a lot less cost. Example, there are plenty of good used '90-91 IPCs around and you should never have to pay more than $ 150. P.S. I am all out of '90-91 IPCs but they are available in most salvage yards.

I usually don't post my prices on this site but I have good working '88-89 Reatta IPCs for $ 40 the '90-91 are more prone to going bad more often and are more expensive. Parts wanted

I have several Reatta parts cars and may have the seat belt escutcheons you are looking for depending on the color. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  5. The radio is mounted under the console top aproximately under the ash tray area on '88-89s. I have good working radios avalilable for a lot less than the price quoted above. There is an aluminum heat sink on the end of the radio but this stays as part of the radio and would come with mine. A "rebuilt" radio or any other electronic part for that matter is nothing more than a used part that had a problem, was sent in for repair, had the one bad item fixed and then sent back out. You are still buying a used part. I have several Reatta parts cars and can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  6. I agree that sounds a little high for a paint job but then I paint my own cars. The rear "REATTA" emblem is bolted on with 3 nuts and to remove it you have to take down the black piece under the rear bumper cover and then reach up in there to get at it.
  7. I have several Reatta parts cars and have both of the pieces you are looking for. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    2 Parts Needed

I have both of the parts you are looking for. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  9. If the window goes about 3 inches and then makes noise it is probably the regulator and not the motor itself. The motor has a gear on the end and this gear turns a large semi-circle gear and that is the one that is probably stripped. The motor is riveted to the regulator assembly. I have good working motor/regulators cheaper than you can buy a new motor. I can be reached at jfinn@computerpro.com
  10. The '88-89s had electroluminescent lighting and the '90-91s had bulbs. If you need a shift panel for an '88-89 I have several Reatta parts cars and have a panel. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  11. I was at the Iola swap meet this last weekend and ran into a book dealer that I had previously had some business with ( he steered my onto a Reatta about a year ago which I bought for parts )and he showed my some new Reatta service manuals that he had for sale for $ 50 each. His name is Ed Kaczmarski and can be reached at 219-931-1509
  12. As Harry mentioned the most likely problem is the blower control module. I have several Reatta parts cars and have this module available. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  13. I have several Reatta parts cars and have a good working and appearing window switch available for your '88. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  14. I have several Reatta parts cars and have the mirror you are looking for. I will send you an email or I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  15. It's 1:40 PM CST and I just talked to a person at the host motel the Wingate, and they had a cancelation so one room is available for the National weekend. The Wingate's number is 810 694 9900 Mention you are with the Reatta club for the best rate.
  16. Mac purchased a very nice '91 Reatta and I acquired his high mileage '90 Reatta to use as a parts car. It was a real pleasure dealing with Mac and if anyone has the good fortune to meet him or do business with him in the future, I am sure it will be a nice experience.

    '91 parts

Usually when the antenna quits working it's because the band inside has gotten brittle and broken. GM sells a replacement band p/n 22038195 which is pretty east to install. You do have to drill out the rivets and the two lower sections of the mast must be good. Mac-- if you ever have yours go bad I will fix it for you n/c Jim
  18. I agree with Padgett. On the '90-91s it is common for the Electronic Climate Control ( ECC ) above the radio to go bad and on all years it common for the programmer behind the glove box/lower panel to go bad. There is a lady here in town who was having problems with her air deflector system and I looked under the dash for her and discovered one of the linkage rods had fallen off one of the vacuum motors. Unfortunately the whole dash needs to be taken out to fix it so we just left it as is. I have several Reatta parts cars and have both of the above mentioned parts available if you determine which you need. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    HELP!!!

Harry, you just guess and sometimes you get lucky. Jawhite, If resoldering the connectors doesn't help I have several Reatta parts cars and have a good working CRT assembly available. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    power mirror switch

I have several Reatta parts cars and have the switch you are looking for. I will send you an email or I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  21. Hi Noe, From my experience it is seldom the CRTC, although I have sold a few of them, but it is almost always the CRT itself and what you are experiencing is a common problem. I have heard of people resoldering the connections inside with some success, but I have not had good luck with that fix. I do have good used CRTs available. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    keyless entry

I try not to get involved in diagnosing problems without seeing a persons car but it sounds like the receiver unit may be bad. I have several Reatta parts cars and I have sold several of these in the past. If you determine that is the problem I do have a good used reciever for the keyless entry. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  23. I do have the cover you are looking for. My computer with all my brains on it is being repaired for a couple of days and I am using a temporary computer. Please send me an email at jfinn@cpinternet.com and I can respond.
  24. It's a factory '90 CD player needs to be installed in a '90-91 Reatta. Reattas that did not come from the factory also did not have the wiring in place to make the player work but I have sent the connectors and a wiring diagam and Joe just needs someone to do the splicing and install the player.
  25. I recently sold a complete CD player setup with everything necessary to install the unit in a Reatta to a nice fellow in New Freedom PA. New Freedom is located about 20 miles north of Baltimore or 15 miles south of York PA. I included a wiring diagram and he needs someone to just do the actual splicing of the wires and install the player. If anyone can do this or know of anyone, private party or business that can install the player please post it here. Thanks, Jim
