  1. I see there is a CD player on ebay and I don't recognize any of the names in the bid history as participants in this forum but in the description the seller states that "No hassle of modifying the hook-up". If your Reatta did come from the factory with a CD player then it will replace the one in your car but if your car did not have one from the factory then your car also did not have the necessary wiring harness and you would also need the escutcheon plate.
  2. From my experience you need to either have yours repaired or replace it with a different one. If you have it repaired they will fix the one defective part and return to you basically a used IPC. I have good working IPCs for less than the repair cost. I have several Reatta parts cars and can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  3. I have heard of people removing the Instrument Panel Cluster ( IPC )and cleaning the contacts on the connector with positive results but I have never been that lucky. From my experience the '88-89 IPCs were pretty good but on the '90-91s the IPC was one of the few weak parts and needs to be replaced. I have several Reatta parts cars and have a good '90 IPC available. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    JIM FINN

Bob, I didn't get your email but got your message on my answering maching and will be calling you today. I also have been having trouble emailing Padgett. I have sent him about 8 messages and none go through except the one that said "test" but I can receive from him. ????????????? Thanks Charley for the nice recommendation. As a follow up to my email to you yesterday I didn't mention it but I also went to the local junk yard to see if I could find some working pillar lights but had no success, thats why the extra day in shipping.
  5. I have good used window motors and I alway sell the regulator with the motor so you don't have to get involved with the spring. Simply drill out the rivets that hold the whole mechanism to the door and replace the whole assembly. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    For Padgett

I got your email and tried to reply but it came back to me. I evidently can receive from you but can't send. Please email me your phone number and I will call you. Also when I get off the computer I will call my provider and see if they can shed any light on why you can't receive from me.
  7. I have a luggage rack on my Select 60 and I think it looks pretty good. Click on the "attachment" for a picture

    For Padgett

I have been trying to send you emails at your new address but they keep coming back to me. I even "replied" to your email about the headlight cover ( I do have one ) and it came back to me as undeliverable. Jim
  9. Looking at my shop manual on page 8A-110-5 it appears to me that the opera lamps are 12 volt. Also on page 8A-114-7 they show the brown wire going back to cell 110 and this same wire lights the ashtray light which is just a 12 V light.
  10. I like it the way it is also, and thanks for doing a good job.
  11. I too have seen a couple of '90 Reattas with a continuous stripe that looks like it was on the car since new. One of the cars, for sure, had not been repainted and you could tell the stripe had been on the car for a long time as it was starting to wear off a little like many of the others. Barney, do you have any knowledge of this or ideas?
  12. I have several Reatta parts cars and have the parts you are looking for. I can be reached for at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    Dash problem

If trying to resolder the joints and cleaning the contacts doesn't work you may have to replace the IPC. I have several Reatta parts cars and have a good IPC available. I can be reached at jfinn@computerpro.com
  15. Reatta's from '88-90 are the only car that used that handle. Reattas in '91 and Chevrolet used a similar handle on a couple of their cars in the late '80s but they did not have the extra mounting on the back side for a small switch that feeds the body computer ( BCM ) to control some of the functions of the lights, keyless entry and the security system. I do have the handle you are looking for. I have them in several colors although no blue ones but the body can be painted. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

  20. I heard of a '91 convertible that is for sale in San Rafael CA. It is at a Buick dealership by the name of Don Collins motors. Their phone number is 415 453 9180. Today is their last day of operation and they will be closing their doors. I'm told they bought it new, has about 50,000 miles on it, and they were asking about $ 14,000 for the car. If you need Reatta parts email me but for more information on the car call Don Collins.
  21. I have several Reatta parts cars and have a burgundy seat belt buckle for your car. Let me know which buckle you need and I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  22. No The '88-90 caps are plastic with an aluminum skin over them and the '91s are a little smaller in diameter and all plastic. The center "R" sunburst is the same though.
  23. I have several Reatta parts cars and have the red reflector you are looking for. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com

    Wheel Sensors

Very few Rivieras had ABS but if you can find one the right and left sensors are interchangeable and the same part is used on the Reattas. Good luck getting them out though with out ruining them as they get stuck in the knuckle really tight sometimes. I do have some out and available for shipping. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
  25. I have hoods and lots of other Reatta parts. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
