  1. It seems as though the norm is inheriting a car and cashing in quick with the least amount of effort. As easy as pulling off a tarp and clicking a phone camera a few times, doesnt seem that hard to me. How about at least one isometric shot so a potential buyer can see what the car looks like? The car is nice though, the pe took good care of it except for the visor thing. The leather seats are real nice.
  2. Looks like the body is being sold separately. At this point it almost would have been a good baseline for a 20s Indy style racer which is what I've been looking for, except for the paint. I dont want to be the one that hacks a good restorable car just for my own ideas. That aluminum paint would be a pita to remove. The whole time one would be cussing the guy for doing it. I brought a bike that had been sprayed like that it was an interesting bike for cheap but the spray was impossible to remove, even with acetone.
  3. Sounds like someone could get a good deal on this truck. From the few pics of the body, it looks pretty good.
  4. The gray side panels dont match the amber seats. Plus the front seats are mismatched. It looks too much like a model A to me. I would hold out for a a pre '31 or '36 to 40 Buick but my 401K would barely cover the cost of gas yo drive one at this point.
  5. Stupid idea, but I may be interested, Can you revert the car back to original for me?
  6. Its 440 3 phase money, but it looks awesome. The blue loks good regardless of originality. I read about 8v tractor batteries used to give better starting power. Somehow it works out to a slightly lesser voltage based on regulator setting. Seems hokey to me, I would settle for stock for better or for worse. Maybe offer 27k and see if he counters at 17k?
  7. That 41 was a great 1st car I can imagine Steve. Not so far from me, if I went to see it I'm sure I would want it but lack of space is keeping my old car hobby limited to one example. Since there are so many of these around and so many variants sharing common parts, it is probably easy find spares. Any car will need brake work at some point, and every other mechanical point will be subject to wear or leaks, that's part of the game. This car looks decent outside, maybe some bodywork is needed as the left front fender looks a little rusty. Will make a fun winter project for someone.
  8. Someone must have used it as a tractor. A Cadillac Doodlebug.
  9. Yes the visor is a joke. But the car is neat, the styling is great. I wonder if the dash ornaments are cellulose.
