  1. This method of selling won't get you good yields. You will get people wandering through your collection and walking away with nothing.
  2. The forward angle of the hood gives it a racy appearance. It looks like it was originally red. Some rust bleed-thru can be seen on the left front fender.
  3. That's a nice car. When you take the wheel off, check for markings on the studs for L or R, the right side may loosen as normal but the left side may have a left thread, meaning that you turn to the right to loosen it. I'm not exactly sure, but it is common on some old cars. Pricing the car can be difficult, I like to look at the completed listings on ebay to see what people paid for something similar. Blue book value for an excellent car. If it has sat for a while, check the oil, coolant levels before starting. If it runs, start the pricing high and see what happens. I would think $20,000, maybe more, but I'm no expert, others will chime in. If your Dad had some local buddies in the hobby, maybe they can help you out.
  4. The absence of an air filter always looks sketchy to me. The hole in the breather cap looks like something hit it from inside.
  5. Sooner or later he will take the $4,000 that people will offer at best. Or, take a running Chevette as a trade.
  6. With the John Deere strike going into its 4th week, tractors are in big demand. Auctions are yielding 25% higher winning bids. The JD green may end up working to the seller's advantage, it may end up being repurposed as a doodlebug.
  7. This car is so long it may be a challenge to parallel park. The style is great though, streamlined and refined. The seats would look better reupholstered in a plain style instead of the printed stuff.
  8. If it had the running boards it could look better, the fenders look like they have nowhere to go. It does look like it had a serious bond job.
  9. I like the three on the tree and yes the interior is pretty good. Neat car. These look best in black. The button in the center, is it OD, or to initiate 3D driving? Not sure how the package deal parts car would would work out with wifey, my former 61 Biscayne that I brought for $400 in '85 came with a 59 Biscayne non runner as well, but my my gf at the time made a sour face, I had to leave it behind, very sadly. I drove off with that 61 like it was a gift from the heavens. I took an extra 2 wheels from it and I needed them as I got 3 flats driving it home.
  10. Someone is just reselling this car without touching it. Alot of unknowns. The door handle was replaced with a glass household door knob. It has a low quality welded exhaust. It could be cleaned up to look pretty good.
  11. This car looks good except in my opinion, the rims would be better in black or maroon. The beige interior looks a little too 50's. Maybe that was the original color? I think an amber shade would look better, as seen in many cars in this period. The head repair may last, perhaps, but it could be the bottleneck to a sense of dependability. The other needs could of been addressed by the seller himself, for not so much to make the car a quick sale.
  12. Thank you. Perhaps reserve the spor for a cooler full of beer.
  13. I like the bright green that some are painted. In this case, the WW add a contrast with the black. I would remove the chest.
  14. That shade of green is pretty good. The interior green is subtle as well as the styling, not too many features that blare out, just a basic streamlined style. Nice to see a consistent color match, instead of the usual wild mismatches that are out there.
  15. I like 50 Fords, for the flat 8, simple styling and small size. I would go for a plain one though, at least without the black painted inset.
