  1. How about a link to the ad, and some pics?
  2. Nice looking car, but not having a price makes me want to offer $7,000, or trade my boat for it.
  3. The interior is good and I like the saddle color. The rear roofline is cool. The nose has alot of bondo in it. The cl ad states that it is an automatic, the shifter is positioned way down, it's either disconnected or it's really a standard in 1st gear in the photo.
  4. +1 on the above, better to be an original well done individual creation, and if it was street legal- previously registered, it would be a fun car.
  5. I think we need to rate the patina, how about fobs on a keychain that would allow for a quick match? I think my car is edging toward the brown tarp class, unless the weather breaks and it gets above freezing in my garage.
  6. And not to mention 2nd place for most ridiculous modified automobile (sorry, but 1st goes to the guy with the unfinished hot rod Nash posted previously).
  7. Neat window shades. I like Buicks, no matter the vintage. The front is really long on this car.
  8. It's a losing proposition to abandon a project of any magnitude, but worse when it will only appeal to .00001% of the population.
  9. There may be someone out there with the same vision as the initiator of this project that isn't afraid to throw some money at it.
  10. In these cases, it looks like someone other than the owner is selling it. Maybe in this case the deceased owner's son is the seller by the wording of the ad. It looks like it was a collector's car, there is another parked next to it, and a pile of manuals that were rounded up from the garage. As can be seen in perhaps an older partial restoration, like the fabric detailing, related door hardware, floor matting, some time and and money was spent.
  11. The car is in great shape, but presented all dusty, makes a potential buyer think that it has sat neglected, unused for some time.
  12. I would say that a nice one would be 6k. Back in the day, people were expecting them to be a daily driver, and if they were wise enough, stayed away from them, but now as a hobby car an MG or Triumph is pretty acceptable.
  13. 🤑🤑🤑🤑 This is one that the seller won't have the opportunity to use.
  14. I had one in orange, it was a fun car to drive. The steering will bank right into a 90 deg turn. It was always far from perfect no matter how much I worked on it but it was a looker.
  15. I saw a Mazda 4 door that was made into a coupe a while back. It actually looked pretty neat. At first I thought it was a rare version of a Miata. Cars are a hobby to many people and they all have their own ideas, many see them as a canvas for their creativity that many will disagree with. Buying one of these will yield a big surprise to the the buyer at the DMV inspection lane. They all must be horrible over 40mph. Tough to sell after the thrill is gone, I'm sure.
  16. Nice car, decent price but it would have some fence jumping to do to make it mine.
  17. If it had a normal size door it would be more appealing but still not enough to make me want it.
  18. He doesn't say much about the build but if it has the lighter flywheel and a balanced crank, would be a hit.
  19. The GMC retirement fund! He may have a ton of money into it, trying not to sink too deep. First asks can be double just to test the waters, then the Priceline becomes more apparent. Regardless, I like these Buicks alot.
