  1. Looks real neat. I wonder if the tail was made from an old bumper car.
  2. The value of rust is what it costs to remove it in blast media, grinding wheels, sandpaper, etc.
  3. For this reason luckily there are jump-in and drive running examples for 10k. But then is that a hobby? For me, the old stuff is being thought out all day until the wrenching or sanding resumes in the evening. Takes my mind off of the mundane. There are people that buy an A and restore it and repeat until they have a fleet of them. They know the car and the sources, trade and barter parts, its a card game between a bunch of guys that discuss the differences in years and can smell a '28 grille put on a '30 car from miles away.
  4. Looks like it would clean up to look decent, the firewall and engine could be repainted but the cloth and paint looks like it could be fine with a good cleaning. The tires look like 70s incorrect sized replacements, that noticed, it could have ran in 1972. They might stick me in the back corner with a dozen others at a car show but I have parked a moped in line with a bunch of Harleys before without a care.
  5. This looks real sporty. I like the styling of the later ones, almost like a Camaro. 4 speed and 2 door. Leaks a little oil but what old car doesnt?
  6. I learned alot of "Dont Do's" from this forum as I press on to make my car nice, so when the day comes to sell my car, I won't get knocked around by educated buyers.
  7. Pretty decent, solid for the price. It's a big car, will take up alot of space. Lots of room inside, for skirt tinkering? With all that beer drinking that went on in this car, it's a miracle that the body is in such good shape. I would have painted the top white and the sides red but that's just the style, perhaps original.
  8. Any color would do it better. I think it was black by the looks of the firewall. I would go for a solid color, maybe a deep dark green or deep dark blue. That would match up with the black top and amber upholstery pretty well. Black is too common for a 20s car and since it's been changed, I wouldn't feel guilty about doing so.
