Pretty good one, but I believe that has made it rounds quite some time ago. I guess the 'net crowd has run out of things to post.

Bottom line, the OP should contact the state he is buying the car from and inquire as to their process. Then he can forward info to the seller. I would bet the seller needs to initiate the process. As to the 'outsiders' that dont understand having a car title. It is a legal document that proves ownership of the vehicle. I keep mine in a locked fireproof safe. One does not carry it with their car. There is a separate vehicle registration that stays with the car proving legal street use. The TITLE is needed in order to obtain the registration. Unfortunately all of the states are not on board with the title process and there is not a universal US rule. My state of MD requires a title for all motor (and some non motor) vehicles, regardless of age. I have titles for trailers w/road tags, titles for my street driven motorcycles, titles for antique motorcycles that will never be driven on the street. I have a title for a 50cc dirt bike and as well as one for my all terrain telescoping forklift. When a vehicle is sold the seller signs the title over to the buyer. MD also has a 2 part title. IF the vehicle has a lien then the lien holder will get one part and the person with the vehicle will get the other half marked that there is a lien. Once the vehicle is paid off the lien holder will release their half thus creating a free and clear title in the vehicle owners name.

No, not a mph to kph. All have been on domestic cars. Yes, there are diff. coloured gears dependent on ratio. Thats why I am a bit confused why these adapters would be used in the first place. Not to mention why some had them and other identically equipped cars did not?

With the amount of inventory you have organization is a must, and it looks like you have that down pat. Do you have a master list of what boxes are where in the shop and on which shelf?

I have a cold water pressure washer, may be 4000 psi. I have used it to clean parts, the rear end, stub frame, stuff like that as long as its not on the car. I also use a good degreaser. Im another in the simple green camp. Great stuff. I think if you use common sense you can use a pressure washer. You do need a de greaser though as I have found the water just pushes the grease around not as much as blowing it off the part. Dirt doesnt stand a chance. I will use it on occasion to get the under carriage of my pickup but from a distance so as to not be using too much pressure on anything. Other than that I will not use it to clean any vehicle surface.

When I was a kid, my next door neighbor had one of these, probably not the same drivetrain🤔, she was probably my grandmothers age. Every time I see one hot rodded up now all I can think of is 'this was an old lady car', LOL. -

Might want to throw a piece of plywood on the floor as well. -
I was at a mom n pop car auction about 10 years ago. I did not bother to register as I figured there would be nothing worthwhile there and also that everything would be out of my price range. They had 2 sedan deliveries. Both around 1930. One was a ford. It was very nicely restored and ran great. All mechanicals looked new and perfect. Had a decent paint job. The other was a chevy. It was equally as nice. It looked like it had been fully restored the fenders were finished but the body itself was in primer. Int. was perfect. The ford sold for 13k and the chevy for 16k. I am still kicking myself with letting that one get away. There were also several really nice model a's that sold for around 7k.

20240307_091608 by Kerry Grubb, on Flickr I just happened to be in my small shop and noticed this on the tail end of a 283 I have stashed away for a future project. Did not have a chance to clean up and look at the numbers though.

Ha! I have a ml320 in the barn. Great vehicle until the computer went out. If I had the knowledge I would do the proverbial ls swap!! Worse part is the motor still runs great! -
I may have missed but are you planning on running a retail business i.e. antique store focused on cars? Your displays are wonderful with how you are laying stuff out. If nothing else your place would make a nice lunch stop for an antique car cruise. Hire a guy in the summer to cook pit beef (oops, that may be a MD thing you might have to go with poutine instead).

Lowes sells 4 x 4's (big golf carts) for around 10k. A couple of my neighbors have them and burn up and down the roads. I would just as soon spend half on this and have just as much fun! -
Rain collectors, downspouts ran through them. We can say they were off of a carriage house/garage, lol.
