  1. True, but it is the model I was referring to. The future buyer isn't as interested to go to the dealer, and the other dealer, and back and forth. Shop the internet while working from home.
  2. I found Bill thru the website but haven't heard back. Many of the others are on LinkedIn but again, no response. I'll try Dennis Manner through here.
  3. Economies of scale are swallowing small businesses for every product, and many services as well. And Amazon and Walmart will destroy the rest. If the Carvana model of used cars takes off it could possibly expand to new cars. Assuming they even want a car. A lot of Gen whatever are choosing differently than previous generations. Blink your eyes and the world has changed.
  4. The actual schedule isn't likely to be confirmed until April or May, since many presenters are unsure of their schedules this far out; road trips, etc., are being planned, menues priced, etc. IIRC from 2022 some items weren't 100% confirmed until about then or even into May.
  5. I say let it fly. There's a lot of asides with which I disagree, but I let it go. It's the internet. I'm sure most of us have posted things which others might find disagreeable.
  6. I'll buy on ebay but I don't sell any longer. The effort is too great. My relatives have had success on Mercari but I have no experience with it. Most stuff I have to sell isn't worth the effort so it's easier to just donate it.
  7. In my quest to verify info about the Riviera convertible concept, I've run across the following people and I would like to communicate with them about the 1995 Riviera. If you know the following people I would be happy to email or phone them at their convenience: William L Porter, exterior design chief Anthony H Derhake, Buick chief engineer Don Genord, Jr., product line manager Andy Hanzel, design assistant Eric Clugh, designer If you know how to reach any of them, or anyone else connected with that model year, I'm happy to send them my contact info.
  8. Like watching Fred Willard in Best in Show.
  9. Never have but I am not digging their floor mats. While durable they're impossible to get clean. The tiles are less expensive than a polyurea but I can't speak to the durability.
  10. Saw a tiktok video about a Mustang gt-h that wasn't. Don't remember which auction it was at but the video narrator said that were some pretty obvious signs that it was misrepresented. So buyers need to be very aware.
  11. I have a drywall and insulated garage (just 2 bay residential so 20 x 20) and I'm putting in an extra 20 amp so I can put a small electric heater in it. My wife isn't crazy about gas so we're going electric. Hope it will be enough but I don't do much garage stuff in the winter and I have no mechanical skill so really no point.
  12. Here to say the same basic thing. AACA, or a brand specific club, or dedicated to lowriders, or whatever. One may already exist near you. Contact the nearest chapter of a club with a similar interest and see if there is membership in your area. No point in reinventing the wheel.
  13. Did they give a more detailed answer. That seems rather arbitrary and was that prohibition in writing?
  14. Better still, set up a trust (of course, TALK TO AN ACTUAL LAWYER) and move all your property into the trust. At least for me, my children will pay nothing in inheritance taxes because they are already trustees. For those who are at odds with your children, you can make the successor trustees anyone you want. Doesn't have to be a relative.
  15. I never thought of that but I can't imagine why one would do that. Something to look for when I fix the flat I have now.
  16. MeTV (at least in Chicago) runs their shorts on Saturday from 5 - 7 pm Central. When they filmed on location it was always a pleasure to see LA in the 1930s and 40s.
  17. Tangential nostalgia moment: my dad ran a factory that built electric motors and he could cite chapter and verse on all things regarding winding an armature. Thanks for making me think of him.
  18. Thanks for all the info. I assumed the tires being a little over was insignificant. Not that you can see very well, but the valve stems aren't even visible. I have no idea where they are. Not visible through the slots in the wheel covers. Once the weather improves ... 90 mph? Not in that car. At least not until I get all the other issues up to snuff and probably never. I don't plan on adding too many miles to it ever.

  20. I love those pocket doors. Wish I had room for another car. Or 20.
  21. My mistake. Here's the best photo I have showing a tire.
  22. My mistake. The tires on the car currently are P225/55R17. I can't imagine a 16" wheel would hold a 17" tire.
  23. According to the ROA site the correct size tire for 1995 is P225/60R16. The tires on mine are P225/70R17. They are likely in need of replacement due to age anyway and one is now flat, but how serious is it to have these on, ASSUMING the wheels are still original and correct?
