  1. Fits 1954 Ford V8 Cars (optional equipment), Trucks, & Mercurys.
  2. Just call it an Executive, not a Catalina. A nice car that seems to be very reasonably priced.
  3. "Attention flea market vendors and visitors".........
  4. Great looking Hudson but I think they meant to say it has a single carb, not a single barrel carb. I believe the 262 engines used a 2-bbl Carter 776S.
  5. Maybe it can't be scrapped because there's no title. The easiest solution then would be to pass this problem on to someone else.
  6. Hersheypark Stadium, home of concerts, sporting events & band competitions. Still there and in frequent use.
  7. Not 1966, back in the mid-late 60s Bonneville models had individual letters on the sides of the cars. I think they're later, maybe 1972-1973.
  8. 1965 full size Chevrolet, an Impala or Bel Air.
  9. Price is way optimistic for the condition of the car. Throw those old pictures away, only the current ones matter. Unfinished trunk, torn headliner at the C-pillars, dashboard paint peeling, where's the air cleaner, Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels painted silver and something's leaking at the RF tire. Engine is not a 315 either, that was a Dodge engine. Just not nice enough to be in the 20 grand range.
  10. Well I'll be darned another black & white one. This was my daily driver back in the early 80s. It was a local one owner (but high mileage) station wagon. Mine had always been black & white. I enjoyed my time with it for a year or two then I sold it and bought something else. It was sorta collectible back then but nobody really paid much attention to it. Best of luck with yours and I'll certainly be following your progress.
  11. In the 60s some factory AC equipped Pontiacs had the ducting mounted under the center & passenger side of the dashboard and there was no room to mount the tissue dispensers in the traditional location.
  12. What is "Pending" anyway? If a guy spends an hour looking your car over at a swap meet, asks all the pertinent questions and then tells you he's buying the car and wants you to hold it for him until he gets back from the bank with the money does that make it Pending? When someone checks out your car, agrees to buy it and will be back "first thing" tomorrow morning with the money does that count as Pending? If a guy says he'll buy your car as long as you agree to a thorough nit-pick inspection by his personal mechanic with the car up on a lift could you call that Pending? And finally the person that has checked everything out, talked to you for hours, and told you he will be paying the full asking price for your car but "just has to run everything by his wife first" can that be interpreted as Pending? In my book there is no such thing as Pending, it's either sold or it's not. All this BS has happened to me and none of these time-wasters bought anything. The car's sold when I have the money in my hands and the title's been transferred to the new owner. No exceptions and No Pending.
  13. Well, there's a lighter-colored patch repair on the bottom of the left front fender, a common rust area. If you look closely at the lower rear quarter panel behind the rear wheel it looks a little brown under there, there's a good chance that metal has been previously repaired or it's at least starting to go. Another area to watch for on these is in the trunk inside of the wheel wells. Most of the time the rear windows leaked, water ran down there, remained under the trunk mat and rotted out the trunk floors. I've owned four of these big 1966 Pontiacs over the years (I really like them) and they were great daily drivers for me. I've looked at a lot of these locally that were for sale over the years and unless you find a really pristine, low mileage garage kept original chances are there's going to be some rust issues. After owning the four cars (and doing some restoration work on a fifth for someone else) I have a little bit of experience now and know what areas to watch out for on these. There's also the possibility my eyes are on the lookout for rust that really hasn't shown up yet!
  14. This is the information I found on the 1941 Plymouth Powermatic Shifting mechanism, maybe I misunderstood something. The third picture is from the actual magazine ad.
