  1. Not a great pic but you can see the little extensions here. They follow the slope of the floor drop. Extending the flat surface. Glad it doesn’t look like this anymore 😁
  2. Hey Alex, I relocated the track mounting holes rearward 3”. Had to fabricate a small extension at the inside rear mount hole location (by the console). The floor falls down and away at that point. This was welded to the floor and has a nut welded inside the channel material. Basically, extending the flat area of the floor where I needed it. I threw the drivers seat in there before they were disassembled and the improvement was huge for me. The thread Kongaman listed has a good idea too. That said, I’d pull and check out your passenger seat track first. We have the same interior and when mine was all the way back it seemed like they matched. Maybe your track isn’t going to the last stop for some reason. Hope this helps Brian
  3. Bernie, that is just cool you’ve had it that long. Even cooler that you use it enough that it needs things redone. Nice work👍
  4. Your welcome, my best advice is to just mess with it a good bit before you cut anything. You will figure out where some glue will be a good idea. I used 3M super 77 spray adhesive. Take your time and good luck. Let us know how it goes or if there are any questions. Brian
  5. Doug. Here ya go. some close ups of my corners by the sill. The rear edge of the carpet is glued just a bit at the outer corners and at the center driveshaft hump. The rear seat bottom will hold it down. hope this helps. Brian
  6. 😁awesome she drives it. When we had one I loved it when my wife would drive it. Haven’t got her to drive the Riv yet. He’s pretty excited about it. Hope he still drives it a lot.
  7. Doug ,I’ll get some pics tomorrow for you.
  8. Hey, enjoy it as is and not have the stress of a fresh perfect paint job. Mine was painted like 30 years ago and I’m kinda glad it’s not perfect. Some day I’m sure I’ll paint it but not for a good while. My brother just had his 67 Vette painted and while it’s stunning, I’m curious to see if he drives it less now.
  9. Hi Doug, I just installed this same carpet. 1: The carpet I removed was cut exactly like yours so I assume that’s correct. I requested Clark’s not to cut mine as I relocated the front seats back 3”. Im 6’4” and needed the extra room. Big improvement for me. 2: I did trim the outside edges at the sill plates some. Minor trim at the console carpet retainer molding, mostly where the trim kicks up towards the dash, careful here, cutting too much would be a problem. Really take your time fitting it. Rear carpet goes under the console, front sets go in after the console is in and attach to the outside of the console body with the aluminum trim. 3: I did use 3m spray adhesive in the rear in a few areas. Under the rear seat ( so it wouldn’t stand up #4 ) And beneath the armrest side panels, mine were removed. Sides of the tunnel and out by the edge of the sill plate too. I also trimmed and glued the jute padding to fit right under the lip inside the sill. I didn’t see any need on the front carpet as it was laying in there nice. I did find warming the rear set up with a heat gun made it more ply able. Didn’t need to do that to the front. 5: yours looks correct, it goes under the side panels. I trimmed mine about 1/2” wide where it curves around the wind lace to the sill plate. I spray glued the back side & folded it over for a finished look there instead of a cut edge. I also have a thread on here called interior progress this weekend. There are some pics on there. If you want some more specific, let me know. Brian
  10. Daryle, that’s great glad you got out for a drive. I’ll definitely post or send some pics when I get them back. I have to get the door panels back together this week. Had to repair a few cracks in the armrest bases. Installed some sound deadening on the doors while the trim panels are off. How do you like your LED’s? Brian
  11. Daryle, looks great! Especially for original paint. Nice job, pretty car. I dropped off my seats at the upholsterer today. Done waiting on the OPG foam for the rear. I’m ready to go for a drive, hopefully won’t be too long.
  12. Looks great! Now go cruising as much as possible 👍😎
  13. I have a really nice one of these. Would like to find a 65 version. Would sell mine or trade for 65 if anyone is interested
  14. Possibly, my thought was the foil back allowed them to use contact type glue on the veneer to glue to a metal surface. Can’t use that on bare veneer. That’s why I glued my unbacked, to a paper backed veneer..Who knows. Would have been nice if it was still available like that. 😁
  15. Yeah probably not worth waiting on them. Their customer service is non existent. Your veneer looks great 👍 I got the last door trim glued up last night. Making progress.
  16. Welcome, and what a cool thing to do for your dad. Keep the photos coming . I’m sure many here would like to follow along. Brian
  17. This is fantastic. Great work to all involved. Tom chime in here and let us know pricing and how to order. I definitely want one👍 Brian
  18. Thank you, I’m trying to keep up😃 working on the door panel veneer now. Still no update from OPG on the rear seat foam.... probably going to have my upholstery guy make it I guess. Brian
  19. Hey thanks. It’s a Stewart Warner temp gauge the previous owner had installed. I like having a gauge but may hide it.
  20. Yeah that looks great👍👍
  21. Tim, just an FYI on the door jamb switches. ROA member Gordon Wolfgang rebuilds them. His ad is in the Riview classifieds. I can’t recommend him enough. Shipped him mine last Tuesday and received them back yesterday $30 for the pair. Installed last night and working perfectly. Excellent service.
  22. Love that color too. My grandmother had a 66 impala that color, or very close, when I was a kid.
  23. Correct. I’ve always wondered what went in between those where mine is empty. Is that the defroster space when equipped? Was there any other switch ever used there? Curious. thanks
