  1. The Chevy's definitely had more style and were smoother, but the 6 was rated the same HP as the Ford and weighed more, due to the wood in the body.
  2. This has Bosch mechanical fuel injection. If it sits for a long period (like this) it's REALLY expensive (learned the hard way).
  3. No info in the ad and the pictures don't help much either! Maybe someone knows this car (Tacoma WA area) Possibly recently inherited? https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/d/bonney-lake-1918-cad/7576896317.html The car is all org 4speed whit 28000 miles runs great awesome car serious inquiries by appointments email: bd6915d7f6bf362e810f2b6d7a7e0e25@sale.craigslist.org
  4. These really are handsome vehicles. I hope it finds a good "Hudson Home" (not a hot rodder) More pics in ad... https://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/d/junction-city-hudson-truck-classic/7581903407.html With their 3-dimensional stainless steel grill, majestic front fenders, cavernous hood (anything will fit), cozy deluxe cab, gorgeous dash, long box(128” w.b.), teardrop rear fenders, and low stance (no straight axle here) these make the worlds most striking resto-rod pickups. If you want a rare (maybe 1,ooo in existence) camera magnet truck this is your chance. Straight solid body needing an easy restoration. Original engine runs good, yard drives, brakes are good, almost complete. Parts from car will fit pickup. Clear title in my name. $12,500. email: d06ebff202573c88874e993da45e5c9d@sale.craigslist.org

  6. I agree! So many cars from this era have just disappeared. Of course you could say there might be a reason...but I still want a Cadillac Cimarron to take to the Cadillac club meets.
  7. This is about the 3rd under $5K "T" we've seen here in the last few weeks. This one could use a new owner with an artistic eye, but there's a lot of "Smiles per Dollar" here!
  8. I think '78 was a real low point in auto history, at least in the US. The smog laws definitely made requirements the manufacturers hadn't yet figured out how to deliver. the result was rotten mileage producing very little power. At the same many cars (I'm thinking of my mother's LTD II) were huge on the outside but a bit cramped inside. I guess that all adds to collectability!
  9. Very good advice, no matter which car we are talking about. These do have a strong following in the UK.
  10. Seems a fair price! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/d/lawndale-1929-desoto/7581815041.html 1929 DeSoto Model K, all original and I am the second owner. Runs great. needs someone to make her stand out again. About ten years ago, brakes where redone, new tires, transmission and rear axle dis assemble, cleaned and resealed. Rims where sand blasted and powered coated and new wiring harness installed. Haven't been driven since 2016, so the brakes will need to be looked at. Have many parts for the car, for instance; one 1929 DeSoto engine, two rear axles, starter, one generator and other parts that I need to get together in boxes. 4965 original miles and original Cal. Plate. email: fad6f2ef059f3b59a78c3b142f70e04c@sale.craigslist.org
  11. I know it's supposed to be only one car per post but these were together. The '58 Continental really makes a statement! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/rescue-1941-caddy-1958-continental/7580119575.html 41cadillac series 75 (5 passenger) complete parked running asking 10k firm! also 1958 lincoln continental mk III (2door) 10k firm! or 17k for both 530-409-7310 joe
  12. Correct! In my professional life I often had to ship very expensive glass parts. Glass is heavy (it's made out of sand, which is made out of rocks). the purpose of packing is not so much to cushion. The main purpose is to hold it rigidly in place.
  13. I believe this was advertised in December covered with plastic reindeer. Searching the data base for a Model A ad was like looking up someone named Smith in the phone book so I couldn't find the old ad. https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/d/oregon-city-model/7580762493.html This 1929 Chassis was removed from an older restoration, where the body only was used for a Street Rod. The sheet metal is mocked up for a Roadster Pick Up, Rat Rod look. It should run with a battery and Gas. It rolls, steers, and stops! The possibilities are endless with this Model A Ford! Calls only! (the ad only has email! c3af57c53a863cff848ee3bb71c46fb3@sale.craigslist.org)
  14. Lots of interesting stuff here! Bosch magneto drive, zenith carburetor, warford transmission. Rare KW shock absorbers. Too many spare parts to list! Many parts on car from 1915. Vary rare Hastings steering stabilizer. Books and paperwork included. Odometer NA (had to enter something for Craigslist). Serious inquires only, please. The perfect project for the classic car fanatic! email: 18a1e0525be63b5f804189edd8e6ee4b@sale.craigslist.org
  15. Looks like a pretty accurate reproduction. probably not much fun to drive but would be a hit at the cars and coffee
  16. Might it ACTUALLY be original? More (not helpful) pics in the ad. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/vallejo-1951-buick-special-deluxe-all/7580229094.html Car is all original besides tires they are new runs good and paint still looks decent for the age interior is In good condition I have original price sticker .I have seat covers on it to protect it this car runs really good for being original I just need the cash at the moment. That's the only reason I'm selling it come check it out u won't be disappointed. email: b8de16611cb7375aa8e2f1d63a415f96@sale.craigslist.org
  17. California has higher registration fees than surrounding states. When I lived near the Nevada border there was a CHP officer who's whole job was to cruse around neighborhoods and look for cars with Nevada plates.
  18. Back on the market 9 months later and now $37,950 (still probably $10K high). Plus they now say it's a Hot Rod (not doing themselves any favors calling this car that. ) If it were a '32 Ford in this condition that price would be "in there". https://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/d/modesto-1932-chevy-cabiolet-hot-rod/7578820463.html (209) 918-3187
  19. In a way these high dollar cars are a sad indication of the world we live in. Long ago (when I was young) I owned or almost owned and drove a number of cars that would be in the millions today. Back then they were just old cars, and people who enjoyed them would actually dive them! No one does that anymore (OK, maybe Jay Leno, but he's the exception that proves the rule). If I had millions, I don't think I'd want any of them today because they have become something entirely different than what they were when they were functional.
  20. Had a TR3 while living at 6200ft near Donner Pass. It was great fun around town but morning temperatures were typically around 40 in the summer and I sold it because I felt it caused me to drive too fast because I wanted to get where I was going before I froze to death.
  21. Likely! The chain for the cam also drives the generator and needs adjustment. The manual says with the engine running, tighten it until it hums, and then back off. Easy to imagine what could go wrong with thousands of people doing this over time.
  22. Really a lot of car! It's in NY... (more pics in ad) https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/billings-1927-chrysler-model-70-fine/7578645478.html No Rust!
