  1. Looks like a nice car. Judging by the dust on the hood, that 1,000 miles on the new engine happened quite a while ago.
  2. No correct and needing attention, but looks fun none the less. More bad pics in ad. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/7563560241.html Good running six cylinder Packard convertible coupe with new top. Needs some improvement but a very fine car. Lights and brakes work but needs gas sending unit. It has electric windows although not original. Also needs visors and windshield wipers but motor is there. The car starts right up and is 12 volts. It has home made upholstery. It also needs some small bodywork. Otherwise the car is decent good running car with a few fix ups. Please inqure.(951) 375-6303
  3. Thanks for that great link! there were so many wonderful gags in old movies involving cars falling and flying apart!
  4. Help please... Brass era is not my expertise.. I notice it has a flat tire, but don't see a spare.
  5. The link says it's no longer available. I'm quite certain this car has been posted before (hard to forget that one sided paint) but searching this forum did not produce it.
  6. I believe a similar car was listed in August for $19K Could be the same car. No matter, it's at least $10K high. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/7562952779.html Dodge d6 4 door suicide flathead 6 manual (408) 625-0782
  7. I was thinking of all the people who always want to ride along in parades, but that I don't have room for.
  8. Not all done correctly but looks like a fun car and I love the shifter story! (I'd keep it that way!) Many more pics in ad. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1947-ford-super-deluxe.1274840/ 47 two door sedan, survivor, some custom features done in the early 1960s, interior trim was carbon striped, and a faux leather used for interior seats and door cards. I have owned the car for three years, I went through the front end replacing everything, brake drums, king pins, wheel bearings, idler arm, three inch drop spring, all rubber bushings, body mounts down the frame. The engine is a correct flat head 59A-B, all ignition parts were replaced three years ago, oil pump, radiator, both water pumps, fuel pump, fuel tank removed and cleaned and resealed, new fuel guage sender in tank, new exhaust from manifold back, straight pipes. All new rear wire bundle to brakes and tail light, front wiring original. This car shows really well at car shows, because it is unique and original, there are a few rust spots, nothing horrible, what you would expect for a seventy year old car.It has a three on the tree transmission, the gear shift has been flipped over to left hand shift, easily put back to right hand. Original owner liked to put his arm around his girl friend and she couldn't shift, lol. Call- 316-213-8131
  9. I know the 2 wheel brake cars go for less but this is a lot of car for the money! Been for sale since September so they might be flexible. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1922-cadillac-7-passenger-touring.1275345/ 35,000 original miles. 2 owner car. one old repaint, seats and carpet were done 20 years ago Original V8. 10. Owner must have liked that color (I do too!) Calgary is a neat town but the last time I was there it took three airplanes to get home and on of them had propellers.
  11. Most interesting model A in quite a while. I wish there we more pictures! Says it steers...is it like a bicycle or are there 2 more wheels hiding somewhere....

  13. I love Mopar products of this era. They have features Fords don't (like hydraulic brakes) but they also don't have Ford's wonderful support. This car, being a 4 cylinder, is going to sell for a little less than the equivalent Model A. How much is a non-running '31 A coupe worth?
  14. Great find! So much better in the back seat than the more common plastic tommy gun.

  17. When I was a kid, we'd pass through LA on vacation. My mother would lay down in the back seat because she couldn't bare to watch!
  18. looks like a nice car! Haven't seen a disc brake conversion on a MoPar product of this vintage...doen't seem very necessary but I read years ago that Porsche considered LA freeways as the ultimate test of breaking systems because you might need a panic stop at any time. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/7561806830.html 1939 Desoto S6 custom 4 door touring sedan. 19. Who knows, maybe even Elvis and the Beatles!
  20. I don't know about $140K but I think the Chrysler Town and Country carries the highest premium of any car for what is in modern parlance a 'body kit".
