  1. Although the pictures and location are different, I believe this car was advertised (and posted here) in August. It does look nice https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/7573420683.html This pristine 1941 Cadillac has gone through an entire frame off restoration process. Every nut and bolt has been addressed to bring this car back to its original splendor. The Series 63 was very rare with a production of only 5,050 cars. You will rarely see one for sale anywhere in the country and almost never in this condition. The car is in perfect working order and can be driven anywhere. email:c5d2ec29902d37968af0dc209330d6cd@sale.craigslist.org
  2. Looks like a very nice car correctly priced. Although they are a "6", they weigh more than a Model A and don't have any performance advantage, plus don't have the Ford's wonderful support network. They should be priced for "less than Model A money", which this one is!
  3. I love that radio! I read recently that EVs may kill off AM radio (which has been near death for a long time) because they emit radio frequency (RF) energy in the AM band.
  4. The first Sebring race was won by a similar car. The race was conducted with a handicap system based on engine size. There were many faster and more publicity worthy cars in the race, so the format was immediately changed going forward. 5. This was for sale in August at a higher price. I think we would really like to sell so might listen to a reasonable offer.
  6. Here's the newest ad: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/7572446367.html email: 5054d149647c3257a8bf940398d854de@sale.craigslist.org
  7. I used to live near Donner Summit in the Sierras. I owned the only glass shop in town. If there was a light winter followed by a heavy one, the people operating the county snow removal equipment would be inexperienced. One year they blew out almost every front window on one street near Donner Lake. Some people where asleep when they were suddenly covered with snow and broken glass!
  8. Looks like it's really just the bark. A number of trees twice this size had their bark stripped and sent off for exhibition in the 1870s and 80s. Giant Redwoods were only "discovered" by Europeans following the goldrush of 1949.
  9. I tried to paint a car once back about 1985. It looked so bad I took it to a local body shop for a re-do and told them my brother-in-law did it. I have a hotrodder neighbor that is a very skillful person. He painted his Model A with Rustoleum, which he thinned and sprayed, followed by color sand and buff. It really looks nice!
  10. Not the one you are thinking of but when my granddaughter was about 6 or 7 she really enjoyed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It's not just like the movie and the interesting thing: written by Ian Fleming!
  11. Price seems reasonably appropriate... https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/7571901077.html 1930 Chevy Roadster with rumble seat is in all original condition and runs and drives very good. Tires and brakes are in very good condition. Under side of the car is very clean with no rust and has been restored at some point.Interior is in nice condition and has been restored, and convertible top is in very good condition as well.Original six-cylinder overhead valve motor runs very good and doesn't smoke and starts very easy with electric starter.New six-volt battery installed. Also has turn signals installed see yellow lights on front end picture.Body has absolutely no rust and is in very good original condition, body wood and floorboards are in excellent condition as well. The car does need some minor paint repair on right side door and front left fender. The Chevy Roadsters are not easy to come by, much rarer than a Model A Ford.Located in Eagle Lake 42 miles northeast of Susanville Ca. $18,000 or best offer cash no trades. email: b3c3d80f55743fc8b123b9f6732ad6f9@sale.craigslist.org
  12. Geez, this is actually a mighty fair price! Either they truly want it gone or it's in some way bogus. Maybe the wood is shot?
  13. This is the second double ended Dodge in 4 days! Hope it's not some sort of bad omen! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/cto/7571608494.html 1941 Dodge Luxury Liner with 2 frontends. It's a dual nose classic! You'll be the toast of the parade or as an advertising vehicle for your business. Car runs and starts will need some TLC for a daily driver. email: 0a77a943ec9b3664a54483ed03fe55e8@sale.craigslist.org
  14. If both ends still steer, you could really get in some tight parking places!
  15. Actually, I think who ever said "History doesn't repeat, it rhymes" had it right. I've been thinking about the transitions the automobile has undergone in the last 125 years....Steam and Electric were still being sold into the 30's, and horses were still used as motive power into the 40's. I happened upon this comparison test of electric vs. gas in the early 20's...many parallels to the present period! In fairness to the "T", many of it's inconveniences are the result of Henry Ford's refusing to update things that were reasonable in 1908 but were really outside the mainstream by the early 20's. Today we'd say the T's user interface was way out of date! Enjoy: https://www.motortrend.com/features/comparison-test-drive-review-ford-model-t-detroit-electric-model-90/
  16. Ed; I think you are being very optimistic about the sophistication of those fine public servants at the border.
  17. Perfect for Driver's Ed. Contact through website https://www.prewarcar.com/442502-detroit-electric-model-93-duplex-control The 1922 Detroit Electric is a rare model 93 with "Duplex Control" steering. The steering and all pedals are duplicated. You can sit as a driver in the first and second row. The two front seats can be turned if desired. The car needs to be restored. The motor turns under voltage. The electric car is complete except for a few parts. These are not critical and can be easily remanufactured. The body is in excellent condition. The original interior is worn, but can be easily rebuilt. The Detroit is an ideal basis for a simple and clear restoration. Included are 3000 technical drawings and information about the history. In recent years, the prices of electric vehicles have risen very sharply. Restored Detroit Electric's cost 125 - 150,000 EUR. Only a handful of cars are traded worldwide each year. The offered vehicle is an affordable entry into the exclusive world of electric cars. I can assist with worldwide shipping.
  18. Doesn't look too bad but (of course) it depends on what they are thinking about price. I always wonder when they say "I haven't started it but it should start right up". I running car is worth more so why wouldn't they make it run if it's that easy?
  19. I have to wonder about Pikes Peak on 8 horse power. Maybe in reverse with them pushing too????
  20. It's really hard to imagine how they found people who could turn off their fear to drive these beasts! https://www.classiccars.ws/sales/index.html Six cylinder L-head in line 6 engine with advertised horsepower rating of 60hp with a 132 inch wheel base. Chalmers were manufactured in Detroit, Michigan from 1908 to 1923. 1914 was the first year that the mighty six cylinder was produced as all were previously built with four cylinders. The example seen here today displays all its original patina in "barn find" condition as it was found in rural New England. The engine was meticulously taken apart and rebuilt to excellent running condition. This vehicle turned many heads, and earned great distinction at its first showing in 2021 at the Newport, Rhode Island Concours d'Elegance. (401) 521-5333
