  2. seems fairly priced, but I wonder what's under the seat covers and why the door jambs are a different color. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/7558310036.html Car always garaged, lightly driven, odometer shows 20,800 miles, but surely over the 100K mark. Current owner for 9 years, previous history unknown. Car body and interior have been slowly restored over the entire 9-year period, currently at about 90% complete, with only minor body and interior work needed. Clear title. Very long and detailed description in the ad...too long for here! email: b3c431fa676a3cd0a135102fb18604e2@sale.craigslist.org
  3. Further proof that rarity and value are two different things! Love those solid rubber tires! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/7557429036.html Very rare, older restoration, was in the Hayes Truck museum for many years. Possibly the last one around, we can't find another. email: 1065cd9befb8303fa3595232aa3458a8@sale.craigslist.org
  4. I'm pretty sure this has been listed before but searching didn't turn up the older post so here it is again (possibly at reduced price). Nice car being sold by someone who doesn't know much about it. https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/7558349498.html 1927 Buick Model C. It looks beautiful and runs great as well. The engine was just tuned by antique car experts. The body is sound, and it has a new 6 volt battery. The tires are in excellent condition, it has a clean title, is licensed, and it is ready to roll. The pics show it off well, but it will look even better in person. The owner passed, so the family is needing to let go. 5. I remember him being stopped for going 100mph on a Texas highway with a can of beer in his hand. The beer was not illegal at the time.
  6. I don't think so. One of her sons says he wants it but I doubt he'd keep it once his mom's gone. He is always trading cars, showing up ay her house is rides as diverse as a stretch Caddy limo or a SAAB convertible. Non of his cars have been either pre-war or projects. His mom is 89 but very spry...she fell off the roof 8 years ago while cleaning the gutters...got back up and finished the job!
  7. Obviously a lot of expensive work has been done. Hate to think of the disappointment as the financial reality sets in. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/7558079289.html $42,500 new restoration! The restoration started years ago and the Chrysler was taken to the shop, where it was completely dismantled down to the frame. The driveline was pulled and the frame and body were prepared for blasting, and paint. The engine was disassembled, rebuilt, and repainted. Meticulous care went into making sure everything was in order, even the lines and wiring in the engine bay were sorted through. All the engine accessories were also repainted to correctly match. Months later, the engine was finally reunited with the now bead blasted and painted frame and suspension components and the beautifully refinished Body adorned with Blue Turquoise paint . Several more months of interior work was completed, including refinished seats and interior components, floor mats, door handles, dash knobs, and bright metalwork. The restoration was a lengthy one occupying hundreds of hours. Hard to find this days wen the most business coupe's are gone. Comes with a original 1938 license plate and cover .Registration in my name with the FCH Historical services Ilnes finaly force sale $42500 call 214 991 5801 or e mail. 5029904aa8d831cca888cb30b0ffeb25@sale.craigslist.org

The body is in excellent condition. The interior appears to have been redone in the 80s. seats and headliner are nice. Could use door panels and carpet. Engine turns free. The tires are new but I do not have any idea how old they are.The gentleman that I purchased this car from told me it had been stored inside for over 25 years.I have a clean California title. email: 4ae75e2184c33f2eab5b0aef0a650c47@sale.craigslist.org
  11. I belong the The Arcane Auto Society, a Northern California club for people with odd cars. I used to belong the 356 Porsche club. The thing I like about the arcaners is, they aren't judgmental. Where the 356 group would get upset about non OEM spark plug wires, the arcaners loved the members Tartra that now had VW power.
  12. More pre-war cars of all types. Many owners are aging out or moving to the other side of the grass. My elderly neighbor mentioned she had an old Chrysler in her garage. I went to see it thinking '58 New Yorker, but there under a lot of boxes was a '33 CQ Imperial. Lost of stuff like that out there!
  13. I see it has an alternator and a more modern distributer. Probably you don't have to deal with manual spark advance (which would allow my wife to want to drive it)>
  14. Looks nice. Why do they take pictures with the hood open that don't show the engine? https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/7557509756.html 70k original miles and less than 5k miles on a complete restoration. Inline flat six and three on the tree, runs perfect and is a blast to drive! I have a clean title in my name and ready to go for an easy transaction. I will not deal with any emails, but if you have any questions please call or shoot me a text 97one-91zero-940one. Southern OR
  15. Could be a nice $15K car if you spent about $20K on it after you bought it. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/7557806235.html Complete project car . 2023 tags clean title in hand (more pics in ad) (818) 536-4070
  16. Might want to sot this in the Chevy section and list the location. Also post a picture of the other side of the engine. Depending on condition, this could be good speedster material.
  17. If you want to see pre-war cars in action, you need to get to the Europe or the UK. There are meets there that have close to 100 pre-war cars, driven the way they were intended.
  18. Land speed racers (who only travel a few miles and a few minutes at a time) sometimes use a tank filled with ice.
  19. Phaetons are an interesting phenonium in our hobby. I recently read that by 1925 56% off American car production were closed cars and 1926 only 28% were "open". Phaetons must have been an old fashioned and hard to sell car by the early thirties. Now, their very "old fashioness" makes us love them more!
  20. That's right! The late Martin Swig (organizer of the California Mille among other things) told me one time "A good project is one where you don't know know what it costs, a bad one is where you remember every dime." Of course he was in a better position than most to feel that way since his family on the Fairmont Hotel in SF.
  21. Originally posted back in June (same price). I have to think the striking paint job and interior might be a problem! It does look like its got good bones. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/7556753342.html 6 cyl, 3 speed transmission. Recently rebuilt engine and braking system. New tires and shocks, all the flat glass has been replaced along with all the seals, door slides etc. All the instruments work, it has a radio and heater. Shows 69,400 on the odometer, excellent paint and upholstery. Western car originally sold in Denver, CO, the steel is very good on this car. Nice car drive anywhere. (510) 223-9587
  22. By far the most fascinating biography I very read was Rickenbacker! What a fantastic life that guy had!
  23. I've always hankered for an M-88: Supercharged gasoline fuel injected v-12 with 1000hp. The exhaust would glow red when hard at work (which probably contributed a lot to the frequency of engine fires).
