  1. I don't know about the price given the condition, but this is a rare model. More pics in the ad. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/7567177933.html Sold with Bill of Sale and supporting paperwork going back to 1966. USA ONLY SALES. Car has title issues, which I’ll be glad to explain if you’re interested. Rare car. Body #2442 of of approximately 4,900 built in the US and only in 1931. Only about 350 survive today. Runs, drives and except for the dash courtesy light and amp meter, it’s fully operational. Solid survivor car with little rust issues in the usual places. Believe it to be complete except missing the ashtrays. These cars don’t come up for sale very often. Great restoration investment or drive as is with a few improvements. $25k or reasonable offer. Delivery to the SW US states available for a fee. Serious inquiries, please. Text is best. (903) 874-7306
  2. I thought this was a really nice looking speedster and I was thinking you could replace the modern engine with a '28 Chevy and get rid of the Stutz emblem. I spoke to the seller...turns out the only items that are '28 Chevy are the rear axle (which is one of Chevy's weakest links) and the registration. It's a '53 Chevy truck chassis but with a different front axle without brakes (Chevy was 4 wheel in '28) . Too bad as it sure looks nice. https://galveston.craigslist.org/cto/7564771552.html 1928 Chevrolet Speedster with a body that looks like a Stutz Bearcat. Has a 1980's 1.9 liter Chevrolet/Isuzu motor. No fiberglass or plastic. (409) 354-8727
  3. The newer the car, the more issues there are. Many new cars have exotic high strength steels and aluminum parts that are fastened in ways that can't easily be put back together with traditional techniques. Not to mention all the electronics. Will the current crop of cars be collectable classics 75 yaers from now? I'm kinda glad I don't need to know.
  4. Now they bumped the price to $29K. I really don't understand this.... https://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/d/franklin-1928-auburn-model-76-sedan/7556843071.html
  5. Looks like a very nice car fairly priced! 6. That repco engine is really interesting being based on the aluminum Oldsmobile block. Olds had more head studs than the Buick.
  7. Retired glass person here, including owning an auto glass business and working in a technical sales capacity for the company formerly know as Libby Owens Ford (LOF). You absolutely can crack the glass if it gets too hot, and ANY scratch can be polished out, but with the products described here, it might takes days. That's why it's rarely done. You are removing the surface of the glass down to the depth of the scratch, so (obviously) it's not going to be flat anymore and there will therefor be distortion.
  8. Fun to see. Those Disney shops have some real crafts people!

Runs, drives. Bought as a project but no time to work on it. 12. Cars are becoming like refrigerators. No maintenance required (or possible). I have a 2018 Chevy Volt. It's a hybrid but because the engine doesn't run all the time, I've got almost 90K miles and I've only changed the oil 3 times. Only had to go in the shop once, and that was for a software update.
  13. Way more interesting than a Tudor! https://fresno.craigslist.org/cto/7566281825.html 1931 Ford Model A mail truck. Truck is complete and ran when parked 25 years ago. Been sitting in the garage since.Comes with extra parts. Fenders, Tires, etc. Very few were built and are hard to find. (559) 999-8052
  14. I think if the Mustang II had come out before the Mustang one (like same time as the falcon) we'd all have loved it. The 2s big sin is it wasn't a "one". and the whole Cobra thing was just silly.

  16. 1959 Hillman convertible. Paid $50. it had been sitting and the brakes were shot. My dad replaced the master cylinder and then the wheel cylinders went. I learned to drive with no brakes! The things you do as a teenager!
  17. Excellent video! Not sure about the screeching tire sound effects but there are so many wonderful things to see here (cop directs traffic after crash!). I used to like stock cars but they completely lost me with "The Car of Tomorrow". They need to return to their roots!
  18. Looks like a nice car...Rumble Seat and rear spare is defiantly an odd combo. Priced as perfect, but it's not. We're have a run of "Resale Red" !!! reply through web site https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1936-chevrolet-rumble-seat-coupe.1280505/ Decided to sell my coupe. It's a 1936 Chevrolet coupe with an uncommon combination of rear mounted spare, and a rumble seat. I do have the spare cover.Motor and drive train are all ordinal and car runs great. Its a 207 6 cyl, with a 3spd manual. Car is still 6v, has 8v battery for starting power. Turn signals have been added. Interior is clean. Car is a nice driver Quality car, it isn't a show car. Something nice to enjoy for cruises around town. Everything works as it should, even the original horn. Very clean underneath.I purchased this car from an 85 year old man that really took care of it, and pampered the car. Has a clean title. Asking $29,500 or trades for other classics.
  19. Now $29,000. I'm sure if they just find the magic combination of digits in the price it will sell instantly! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/7565161717.html (513) 444-5921

  21. When these were new I lived at 6,000 feet in the mountains and winter snows could be deep. A friend had one of these. With all that weight on the front axle and chains, it was unstoppable.
  22. This Mustang II just sold for $$17,063 on Hemmings auction. A very nice example and possibly a record for a Mustang II. Cars like this make me think the the controversy that erupted at the Olympics in Korea some years ago. A member of the broadcast team made some t shirts saying the games were "Bad" meaning they were good. The Koreans didn't take it that way. This car in many ways, when compared to the rest of Mustangs in history is so "Bad" it's actually good! (and I still want a Cimarron to take to Cadillac Club meets) https://www.hemmings.com/stories/hemmings-auctions-1976-mustang-ii/
  23. looks like a very well maintained example. I wonder what type of mileage it gets? This was the period when they really hadn't figured up the smog stuff. In a strange way, that makes it more desirable today.
