  1. I'll try to remember to check tomorrow for you Claude but usually in the front of Ford Service/Shop manuals they have a break down of the codes. I'm pretty sure that I've got a 56 Mercury one.
  2. As I was looking at the pictures I was thinking that the original car would make an interesting accompanying piece to a re-created one. Won't cost any more and in my mind more respectful to the original car.
  3. Are those the horns that are already on your Jeep or are you looking for that type for another one? If those are the existing ones why are you looking to replace them? It would just be odd for both horns to be broken at the same time is all I'm thinking and might be an electrical issue and not a horn issue.
  4. If you can add one more picture zoomed in on the Harrison tag with the numbers it will help. I tried zooming in on the image but it is too blurry on my screen to get the numbers with certainty.
  5. Sticking to the 25 year old mark, you are in the realm of anti-lock brake systems, that is not going to be a simple hardware conversion.
  6. Bucket list car would be a 46-48 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible yellow with the red Highlander interior - I remember seeing one in that combination 35 + years ago in the grocery store parking lot while going to university in Kingston, Ont - top down in the fall, fabulous looking car.
  7. Once you get the title into your name I'd list it for $3000 to 4000. The wheels, box and clear title all add some pretty good value. The one thing about selling is that you can always go down. Trucks have a pretty good following and someone with a good cab would gladly swap that onto what you have. There's a few around here that will criticize on a higher asking price but the one thing that I can guarantee is that you won't get what you don't ask for. Good luck!
  8. Here you go Wes, it's been on the car since 1990. Just be careful with the center support. I can't remember now how we did it but we cracked one side of the windshield of the windshield mounting the visor.
  9. Wes, We have one on this 51 Plymouth Suburban - I'll get you some pictures tomorrow of the mounting on the A Pillar. Great for the sun shade, bit of a hinderance when you are first car in line at traffic lights. Don
  10. Thanks Marty - definitely no high speed runs. The car seems happy at 30 mph but I'm still getting used to it, I think the driver needs to be sorted more than the car.
  11. I've got a 1931 Pontiac 401 that I have just gotten back on the road. Car has wire wheels and 19 X 4.75/5.00 tire I believe. Just looking for the correct tire pressure that I should be running. Tires are of an unknown age and I'm leaning towards replacing them but while I shake it down I'm looking to at least run these ones at a proper pressure.
  12. That wheel over the fence is scary stuff - hopefully no spectators or grandstand workers were hit.
  13. Window stickers are made for the destination country, not where the assembly plant is located. Vehicles assembled in Mexico don't arrive in the US with stickers in Peso's and the Dodge Hellcat that is assembled just down the road from me that is shipped to the US has a US price and sticker. The one shown for the truck above even states that it is not intended for sale or registration in the US. The comparable US dollar amount would be $52 800 which makes you realize the pain that we feel up here when it comes to buying parts for our antique cars. More than a little off topic but it does make me wonder the value of window stickers from older cars - I had a 1990 Dodge Daytona that I bought new that I dealer installed cruise control and AM/FM Cassette added, those wouldn't have been covered by the sticker or build sheet but were definitely as delivered to me. As to the subject car I'm curious would it even be streetable in it's current form if it really does have the W31 Engine? Not an Olds guy at all but very interesting following the thread
  14. Just remember that is Canadian dollar and today our dollar is about 73.5 cents to the US dollar.
  15. Bouncing this back up to try to get an answer.
  16. I couldn't resist adding these from the local news. The company involved generally hauls late model used stuff. I can't say that I've seen a tractor trailer go into full on turtle mode.

  18. I wanna know how you got the side of the truck in the old Underwood typewriter
  19. @auburnseeker had posted somewhere else awhile back about the Ford parts number break down but I think those tools are going to be mid 80's to mid 90's Ford trucks/Broncos and Econoline. Suspect they would be in demand if you can find the function. Its probably easier to post the link for the bearing cup B7A-4616-A - 6 bucks https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/ford__/PINION-BEARING-CUP/54137495/B7A4616A.html Lock Nut Worth about $32 https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-nut-locking_e8tz-7b364-a.html
  20. Years go they had what seemed like 50 acres of cars, most of those were cleaned out but apparently more have been brought in. They aren't closing, just a partial disposal.
  21. I realize this is real short notice but maybe some of you in Eastern Ontario or upstate New York might still be able to maker it. I just heard about it today but won't be able to attend: https://sullivanauctions.com/event/auction-vintage-gargae-collectibles-tools-and-vintage-vehicles-saturday-may-13th-at-1000-am/ I apologize if this a duplicate post, I've been away for a week and did a quick search and didn't see it.
  22. My son got into a minor collision with a 99 - I picked up all the parts from the local parts store including the grille. All aftermarket but I want to say that the grille was less than $200 and that was Canadian. Fit perfect. Check with your local parts store and you might be surprised at the price. Adding to @Gary_Ash manufactures aren't set up for that kind of work, they manufacture, not redo. It is simply too disruptive to their process for a brand new part, let alone one that his 28 yrs old.
  23. If I was the next door neighbor I'd be charging for parking in the yard. Kidding aside I can't imagine the time involved in researching and pricing every item. With that volume you could set up 100 tables with each item 10 bucks and just keep restocking and you likely couldn't keep up. There's some obvious big dollar stuff but just wow.
