  1. 1918 Cadillac Type 57 Brewster Craig
  2. It is great to see vintage Big Rigs and old buses being restored more and more. I'm glad you awoke this sleeping giant. Craig
  3. Edmonton Transit and Calgary Transit had some GM 'New Look' buses with them in their fleet in the 1970's. http://www.barp.ca/photo_index2.html Craig
  4. The '80's "Cadillac" Cimarron had crank windows as standard. Craig
  5. I've been seeing a lot who bring more than one car to a meet via nicely decked out semi-trailers lately. The cars are impressive enough, but some of these semi-trailers are also nice enough to live inside. Craig
  6. Buicks I loved when new, I still love, which includes most of the full size 1960's models and Rivs. The Buicks I thought were ugly when new are uglier now. The 1974-76 Riviera comes to mind. It was no wonder it got downsized in 1977 while the Eldorado and Toronado did not until 1979. Craig
  7. I believe he refers to the rod from the handle to the latch behind the door panel. Craig
  8. Too bad its not ten years older. Then it would be worth restoring. ' Craig
  9. For years, older photos were either airbrushed, or used hand-tinting with colored oils, etc. Portrait photos were most often enhanced with facial imperfections removed by hand, long before digital photography or Photoshop. Craig
  10. I've seen this photo decades back, and a different photo taken from the front of the car. I do agree the sign in this colorized one has been enhanced some, as the original black & white photo was quite fuzzy. Craig
  11. Hopefully it will end up being restored. Craig
  12. Somewhat ironically, you being the owner of a 1931 President must be aware of the 'exception' to the 'black painted frame rule'. Not to be overlooked are the limited production 'Speedway' editions of the President Four Seasons Roadster' with their RED painted frame & chassis components besides the underbody. The only two top colors available were black or gray. Craig
  13. I have a box of N95 masks from a local Safety Supply store, and fortunately still have some left. I normally use them for spray painting, like most who restore cars, but the last time I used one for a non-auto-related activity was while helping during our flood cleanup here in 2013. Craig
  14. That appears to be a 1914 Pnuemobile. It was equipped with air suspension, hence its name. Craig
  15. One can also buy any of these 'deluxe-edition' GM 'New Look' transit buses that also light up---------------> https://www.boutiquestm.com/en/models/edition-deluxe/ Craig
  16. I bet RQ doesn't have any of those ones above in his collection of pre-was Studebaker photos!! Craig
  17. I think we should all be thankful the Detroit Public Library itself survived the big mess Detroit got itself into post 1967. Just imagine what would have been lost, looking some of the other public buildings in and around the area, including several schools, fire halls, police detachments, et al. Craig
  18. The '70's comes to mind!! Studebaker did offer these for convertibles immediately after the war: https://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/forum/your-studebaker-forum/general-studebaker-specific-discussion/72460-unusual-studebaker-items-3 Craig
  19. I also agree with this third option, considering it is not 'case closed' and documentation from an obscure coachbuilder could still turn up in some of the most unlikely place. Craig
  20. Hotel shuttle cars? The Peninsula Hotels have a fleet of green Rolls-Royces: https://www.cntraveler.com/story/the-peninsula-hotels-long-history-with-rolls-royce Craig
