Agree completely with Jason. One could possibly EDIT a book with experts from each Riviera generation writing their sections but.... Finding people willing and able to meet publishing deadlines as well as acceptable wring styles would likely be frustrating at best . My two cents worth ( although a beautiful coffee table book with lots of color pictures and info would be loved by a few us but $$$$$ would come in to play very quickly ) KReed ROA 14549

Bumpers are always pain because of the shipping expense . I had front and rear bumpers done in Houston for my 65 - $2000 for all BUT I didn't have to ship them either way . If you think chrome is expensive , try getting stainless polished and cleaned up ! They charge by the inch ! Tried to do some myself - big mistake . Looked worse than when I started . It's a real art that requires lots of patience and expertise if you want quality . KReed ROA 14549

Burgundy Mist 65 GS. Sold for $60K ! + buyers premium . Somebody is real happy and someone is sad losing $61 K in the 4 years since purchase .This trio sets a more realistic bar for these cars IMO . Lots of fun ! Ready for the snow to melt and get driving again . KReed ROA 14549

Hi Tom - you are right about the 65 GS being the "cheapest " car on the auction block at Gooding that day - that's the reason I went but.... The big dollars were in the room and the guy that bought it was NOT going to be outbid as he never took his paddle down! It went up in $5,000 increments and literally was sold in less than a minute . I took my $200 bidding paddle home as a souvenir 😎. Today's auction will , I believe, give us a little better idea of the market ( although clearly there will be plenty of big bucks in the room today too) . We'll see . KReed ROA 14549

This will be interesting tomorrow ! The burgundy mist GS is the same car that sold at Gooding in 2015 for $110 K + $11 buyers premium = $121 K and was discussed thoroughly on this Forum at the time . I bought a $200 paddle to bid on it and never got my paddle off my lap as two guys in front of me raised their paddles and never put them down until it hit $110 K . Check out the pics from then (which I saved ) and now. First two are from 2019 BJ and second three are Gooding 2015 . Different battery but rest looks identical to me .This will test the market . Not a car but found a use for a couple of nice wheels I have had laying around so decided to do something with them. Friend of mine welded it together for me yesterday and it found a spot in my shop . The top is a 10X 24 and the crank is out of a GM 454 and the bottom is a standard road wheel for early Rivs . Weight 185 lbs ( my back is still hurting from lifting it into my truck ! Definitely not going anywhere easily . KReed ROA 14549

Hi Paul- no cornering lights. Dual quad intake is sold . The dual quad air cleaner is in poor shape in that one of the snorkels had a hole in it and someone tried to repair it and did a poor job . The lid is rusted out in the center hole . Bottom line it need lots of work to be presentable and then would need replating . I’ll take $75 for it +shipping costs. If you are interested , I will take pics tomorrow and send to you . Thanks Ken

I ordered a set of these "beauty rims" and put them today one of my " beater 66" which had a little rust in the rims of the road wheel . Fit almost perfectly and completely covered the mild rust . I like them on this particular car but the purists will undoubtedly object . To each his own KReed ROA 14549

If you are like me , I tend to "accumulate " car stuff that ends up cluttering up my shop waiting for a home or an application on a future car. Good tires and wheels take up lots of room .
