It drives me crazy when car ads , bike ads, low rider ads ,etc feature a drop dead gorgeous woman ( or not) sprawled all over a car or bike as though this woman would do ( or has done) anything to take a ride . Do advertisers actually think that sells something - (OK maybe for Ed ) but not for most of us or am I wrong and just getting old?? While I'm on it , the othe thing that drives me crazy is the TV ads where 4 year old kids do the talking for their Dad's plumbing busines , insurance business or car dealership - really ? Do they really believe I'm going to use their business because they are a "family man" ......?.. One more and then I'm going to take my BP pill and drink a cup of coffee - people that put those little stickers on the back windshield of their minivan that show they have 5 Kids and three dogs and two cats or even worse - " my kid is an honor student at ....HS " - really ? Who gives ......? OK I'm done and feel soon much better- gonna go put my ROA sticker on my 66 ? kReed ROA 14549

Got my "blem" tan floor mat from Kevin @CARS today . If this is a blem , I bet their non-blems were amazing . Couldn't be happier and in fact ordered another one for my 64 . $79.50 + $20 shipping . Problem solved ! Jon came through for me . If you need carb advice , this is the guy!, Highly recommend . KReed ROA 14549 PS . If anyone needs a dual intake manifold and / or a front slave Carter AFB.3645 , I have one and will make them a reasonable deal .

Talked to Jon - great guy ! 150,000 carbs in stock ! But..... No 3646 as separate carb . Does have one in combo with a 3645 on a dual intake manifold which we are discussing so... If anyone has a good 3646 gathering dust , I'm your guy. Thanks KReed ROA 14549

Got my 72 up on my lift to dust off the underside after our trip to the ROA a few weeks ago and thought I would share a few pics for anyone who might be interested . 2 1/2 inch stainless - easy to clean with scotch-brite. KReed ROA 14549

I have tried a little bit of everything but am afraid to do much more - the fabric is obviously fragile to any light brushing or scrubbing -not at all satisfied but guess I will just have to leave alone or replace entirely - stuff like this drives me crazy ?. Has anyone attempted to dye this material . Can't really see it working as the fabric is not just one color . Probably would look worse than what I have now and then I WOULD have to replace it . I have what I believe is an original trunk liner in my 66GS . It is stained in several areas which drives me crazy when I open the trunk .Knowing they are "original only once " I am hesitant to replace . The fabric itself is in reasonable shape . 50 or so figures of 8's later, the popping /ratcheting sound is much improved. Think it will have to do for now . Running a straight line is no problem at all - rubber even when it shifts ! Next up is a paint job on this twenty footer. Thanks for all the help everyone . KReed ROA 14549

Thanks very much to all . Tried the additive tonight - took a little fluid out - could only get a bout 4 oz in before it began running out. Drove it about 20 miles but no figure 8's . Couldn't tell much difference when I parked it but hopefully it will improve . I am going to try the preload spring idea Jason - just got hit the books and figure out how to do it . My " beater" 66 Riv GS 3.42 Positraction is making some very scary noise recently particularly when I am making acuteness turns at a slow rate of speed - almost a ratcheting type of noise , happens in either direction . Sounds like a popping and makes the car lurch a little if that makes sense . Also the rear end whines when it is accelerating but quiets down when speed is reached but when you accelerate it whines again until I reach a steady speed . Don't know much about posi's other than what I read on the Internet . First thing I will do is change the fluid and I have read something about a special additive for the Posi's ?... If that doesn't quiet it down, what would I look for next ? Clutches , shims , damage to gear ?... Know there are some Posi experts out there and would appreciate their help . Thanks KReed ROA 14549
